Hey there! Amazing video. I do have a question, my ranger is giving me alot of shifting issues and the O/d light is flashing. I believe the Solenoid is the problem. How do you know which one to replace and why didn't you replace all four?
I have a ford ranger 2008 2.3 liter every time it takes the 3th gear rpm goes all the way up an then it shifts, other gears are working fine, what could be the problem ?
These ranger/explorer transmissions are notorious for blowing valve body gaskets on one of the edges. Even if its not blown when the pan is off use an INCH pound torque wrench to 100 INCH pounds. The bolts are likely to loosen after several years. There are diagrams of the torque sequence.
