To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
@@ezflykha6415 does the sound bleed out of the cups so someone can hear what you listening to. I messed up and got wfooxm4 earbuds and these aztec earrings keep falling out
Rain only becomes an issue in the long run, you want to be careful around humidity, that can kill them really fast. While camping dont use them, don't get them out of their case for more than one or two hours max. When the mics get water damaged the anc breaks.

Noise cancellation works corded on video games. You just have to put the power on once they set up. In Playstation you have to control the volume slider with the game. Also, if you have a smart phone you can put in the shape of your ear and have a equalizer you can use that tunes the headphones to your preference. There is also an optional mode that will try to make lower quality music sound better. This will have issues connecting to some ribs like a sanding. You can get an adapter that uses an toslink audio cable and puts out a stronger single your headphones will eternity if it isn’t compatible with your stuff just in case you don’t want to use it tethered. PS5 has a built in mic that works surprisingly well, the microphone is a good suggestion for PS4. Thanks for the detailed review. You were on point, I just wanted to add these things as noice cancellation really helps with games and to me personally the wire can be more distracting when playing a game especially in a premium set in my opinion and the noise cancellation makes that sound so much better. Make sure you calibrate these with your phone if you can. The factory settings are pretty neutral. You head phones probably aren’t broken if the sound cuts out on your tv. You probably need a the Bluetooth dongle mentioned above to properly process the sound systems. I have an I Phone and it works amazingly with them with no extra steps. 6:23 It passed my rain test. I took my first pair in a ferry trip soaking wet, ANC on full with rain all day. They still worked fine. However, a month later, they did develop a really bad hissing and cracking sound with ANC on. I got the pair replaced, but I haven't taken them out since.
Don’t Use In The Gym: Different users have different experiences of course, but I got the XM4s a month ago and they stopped charging after I’d gone running with them a couple of times. I had to take them in to be repaired. The repair shop said the inner compartment was full of water when they opened them up, and it’s why the battery died and wouldn’t charge. They’re not built for exercise, especially if you sweat heavily like I do Your money is better spent on a water resistant model. Sound was amazing while it lasted, though
For anyone interested, these are on sale for $278 at some places! Around $299 after tax, putting them cheaper than the previous version. I'm glad I found this review at the right time.

Not sure if someone already commented this but when you game you can have the noise cancellation on. All you gotta do is connect the aux to your remote and turn them on by holding the power button down. Then just toggle to the noise cancellation

If you get moisture in them from sweat you gotta remove the ear pads so you can dry out any moisture on the speakers and you also have to clean the foam inserts with hydrogen peroxide so they don’t start to smell. 😬🤷🏽♂️ just let them dry fully before putting them back on. You can throw them in the dryer.
I’ve needed a new gaming headset for a couple months but I’ve been wanting these for so long too, so I’ve just been researching and trying to figure out what to do. Weeks ago I was trying to figure out if I should get these and just use them for gaming too. Just got mine today for black Friday sale!! Great review man. For gaming, maybe try an external microphone to plug into your ps4 directly and use the included cable to route in the controller if that Amazon cable doesn't last.

@@ezflykha6415 it works great. I’ve used this setup for years! Have a snowball mic plugged into my ps4 and use the included AUX to plug my Sony’s into the PS4 controller. It worked flawlessly with my gen 1 Sony’s and works even better with my new gen 4’s.
Hey for the proximity sensor not working after a long period of use just press the power button once it resets the sensor and it works again. Nice review btw
It started raining today, moderately, and I was scared my XM4 died there, but they still work fine. Probably under a heavy rain they would die, so I am not testing my luck. Also, they work with the 3.5mm and noise canceling and even transparency mode when I plug them to my computer, I just have to turn them all. The dials on the cup don't do anything like lower or increase volume or pause music, but everything else works normal, which was a great surprise because games and movies sound fantastic with the noise canceling on.
@antonio melero I’ve had them for like a year. They are pretty good. I love them. Comfortable; the only thing is like the video said when you start to sweat the taking off the headphones doesn’t pause the music when the sensor is humid from sweat. But besides that. You’re in your own bubble

Listening to this via my brand new xm4s! Got as a gift from my bf! It's very true what you said about the sensor and sweat! I did discover they don't work fue to water beading on the sensor! Hence disrupting the process! They are quite warm I'm ngl! I'm not a sweaty person but they can get quite hot and sweaty if worn for long periods of time! Lastly I'm surprised you didn't talk about it, but maybe it's just me?? I get this real ear pressure from these headphones!! I'm talking about ear drum pressure that has now caused me to be quite permanently sensitive to it! Like I can feel it now as had to take my headphones off a few hours back, for a break!! The atmospheric pressure is what's causing it for me. And I'm glad if anyone can get super used to them quick but for me it just causes ear ache!! Got sensitive ears I guess! But other than those few minuses, I do like these earphones!! Quality!

I got the MX2’s back a long time ago. I was so excited I got in my car and whipped them out of the package and put them on. Oh shit, my car engine just died. Lol for at least 5 seconds i really thought my car just shut off when the noise cancellation kicked in.

Bruh, I love you. Like that is what I have been searching for. For a reviewer to say the fact that it ain't loud. You said it all. They ain't loud at all. I almost threw mine out the window out of frustration, I was using the JBL Tune 550 and those sh*t was super more audible and switching to this; I kinda got mad at it. And I am still angry.
I play wow, R6 and Valorant with no problems, it shows the right direction of the noises, the built quality is not like a Beyerdynamics but they works very good.

Crazzyy review ! Very detailed and practical ! One question: My XM4's are just 2 days old and have developed deep marks on the ear cushions, I use it extensively but just 2 dayss ! 😔 Is it normal or should I be worried? On another note: Sony probably doesnt even sell these ear pads separately.
I have a pair of Sony WI-1000X & when I first got them I was surprised & disappointed that they wouldn't pair with the PS4. But using a typical bluetooth dongle fixed the problem. No cord necessary. I'm sure those will work the same way.

Also, they work with the 3.5mm and noise canceling and even transparency mode when I plug them to my computer, I just have to turn them all. The dials on the cup don't do anything like lower or increase volume or pause music, but everything else works normal, which was a great surprise because games and movies sound fantastic with the noise canceling on.

@antonio melero I’ve had them for like a year. They are pretty good. I love them. Comfortable; the only thing is like the video said when you start to sweat the taking off the headphones doesn’t pause the music when the sensor is humid from sweat. But besides that. You’re in your own bubble

It's very true what you said about the sensor and sweat! I did discover they don't work fue to water beading on the sensor! Hence disrupting the process!
They are quite warm I'm ngl! I'm not a sweaty person but they can get quite hot and sweaty if worn for long periods of time!
Lastly I'm surprised you didn't talk about it, but maybe it's just me??
I get this real ear pressure from these headphones!! I'm talking about ear drum pressure that has now caused me to be quite permanently sensitive to it! Like I can feel it now as had to take my headphones off a few hours back, for a break!! The atmospheric pressure is what's causing it for me.
And I'm glad if anyone can get super used to them quick but for me it just causes ear ache!! Got sensitive ears I guess!
But other than those few minuses, I do like these earphones!! Quality!
Just got these yesterday, EQ them to my taste and yes the best headphones by far. It’s going to be hard to beat these. Best £280 I ever spent. Well worth it

I got the MX2’s back a long time ago. I was so excited I got in my car and whipped them out of the package and put them on. Oh shit, my car engine just died. Lol for at least 5 seconds i really thought my car just shut off when the noise cancellation kicked in.

Bruh, I love you. Like that is what I have been searching for. For a reviewer to say the fact that it ain't loud. You said it all. They ain't loud at all. I almost threw mine out the window out of frustration, I was using the JBL Tune 550 and those sh*t was super more audible and switching to this; I kinda got mad at it. And I am still angry.

I play wow, R6 and Valorant with no problems, it shows the right direction of the noises, the built quality is not like a Beyerdynamics but they works very good.

Crazzyy review ! Very detailed and practical ! One question: My XM4's are just 2 days old and have developed deep marks on the ear cushions, I use it extensively but just 2 dayss ! 😔 Is it normal or should I be worried? On another note: Sony probably doesnt even sell these ear pads separately.
I have a pair of Sony WI-1000X & when I first got them I was surprised & disappointed that they wouldn't pair with the PS4. But using a typical bluetooth dongle fixed the problem. No cord necessary. I'm sure those will work the same way.
