No doubt about it - the swing was very different. But what power. I knew a guy a went to the 1960 Open Championship won by 'Kel Nagle' at St Andrews. During a practice round my friend told me, Arnie, on one hole drove it 400 yards. Imagine this in 1960.
Arnie is one of those freakishly strong people. He never worked out he just had a ton of muscle. People forget today of course that the guy could really play back in the day.
Johnny "the maestro" miller.. Legend!!
Imagine being as great a golfer as Mr. Palmer and that he was 10x greater a man.
One legend talking about another legend. Hate him or love him, Johnny Miller will be missed in the booth. Paul Azinger will do great though.
