    I picked up a 2023 Sport, I noticed the XDS did help me make a right turn in the wet with less drama. It’s on the MQB platform and rides great. I don’t mind sacrificing handling for a softer ride as a daily in the Midwest (shitty roads). The rear suspension is tuned very well as you mentioned and I find it a good value proposition overall. Yes steering is light, but a quick rack compensates lack of feel. I don’t find brakes touchy, but fuel economy and quiet smooth ride are the biggest pros here.

      @@MeynMotorGroup A couple grand, I’m getting a really good deal on the Tiguan.
      For the Jetta, I found one which I haven’t test driven yet, but its an SEL loaded for 27K. I’ve driven both and I actually prefer the ride on the Jetta, but somewhat prefer the interior of the Tiguan. I do rideshare currently and kind of there’s more pros for the Jetta.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  Год назад +1

      @@ScenicD Jetta is a good car but I would probably go Tiguan since a fully loaded SEL isn’t necessary for ride share. There’s also going to be some better incentives and finance rates I feel with a brand new car but def ask for the full price breakdown

      I have a Honda (Civic) and I can’t wait to get rid of it. The road noise is so bad, you couldn’t hear an elephant fart if it was sitting in the back seat. The infotainment system has a mind of its own, the back-up camera sometimes won’t come on and the A/C has had issues since the first day I got it. I test-drove a Jetta this past summer and the differences are clear. It’s quieter and smoother than my Civic. Just has a better overall feel.

      So I recently moved so I have lost all my dealer connects (it was just 2 dealers) but these dealers don’t really want me around anymore as they are not in a good place and their inventory is dried up so they’re not really in the mood to deal with RUclipsrs. Other problem is used cars are now a terrible buy, most are better off just buying something new with a warranty so I’m currently just doing coverage on the press cars that I get weekly. This market is pretty messed up for buyers right now.
      Have you seen the Elantra that hit a million miles? Hyundai gave that woman a new Elantra. I think you can get there.

      @@MeynMotorGroup I appreciate the quick reply. This is one of my favorite things about the channel is how much you dedicate yourself to your viewers. I have seen the million mile Elantra but mine is pretty much all city miles 🤣. I hope to have it last at least 5 or 6 more years. Honestly I bought too much car for my income but I have one more year left on my loan so I want to keep it for a long time. One day this channel will be so big you will have the income to review any car

      @@Aniki1111 oh not a problem my friend you all watching mean everything to me so I try to get back when I can but it’s getting a bit harder now 😅
      Oh you can pay it off quick I’m certain it can serve you for a couple more years even with city driving. One thing I like about the Elantra is the simple engine it is port injected only.
      Start up an eBay store or offer up account and just sell stuff around the house you might be able to pay that bad boy off sooner than you think. A couple of my friends did pretty well with door dash and Uber eats as well.
      I really appreciate your continued support and kind words on this channel, man I would love to do more stuff that my audience wants if this got to WhistlinDiesel level😅 but that’s hard for a review channel and it’s ok glad I can at least converse with my audience when I can

      @@MeynMotorGroup Hey, I bought a 2017 Elantra new in May of 2016. Fully loaded. I just turned 98.000 miles on it. It has been a great car, absolutely 0 repairs. 3000 mile oil changes, a transmission service at 52.000 miles, and it getting a coolant service next week. Castrol GTX 10 30 oil since 1st drain. Runs great and uses no oil. Looks like new in and out thanks to our Southern California weather. I bought a new K5 GT LINE with premium package in june of 2021, awsome car like it alot. Kept the Elantra, its just to nice to let go. My work is an 80 mile commute so using the Elantra for that to keep the miles down on the k5! I also got 50.000 miles out the solus tires it came with, have 48.000 on the 2nd set, and they still have way to go. Like them fine.
