The reason why Mario 3’s design is like that is because on the nes, the system could only hold 4 colors per sprite, with the fourth one being transparent. Because they could only have 3 colors, and wanted to use the black outline, they made his overalls black. This was changed in the SNES version
@@theliltshow 4:11: "Blonde in the Artwork, but *blonde* in the game?" Sounds like someone didn't proofread their work. 6:18: I do like that you used DK's design from the Game Boy game, as it was what gave DK his iconic red necktie. What helps establish that this DK is different from the Arcade DK is that not only was his in-game GB sprites more animated than his arcade counterpart, but even in 1994, Cranky's bias towards modern game development (at the time) would be enough evidence to tell you this GB Donkey Kong is not the same DK from the Arcade game, and therefore can't be Cranky Kong. 9:24: OOF! Yeah, I don't know why they think Bowser's hair having to be stylized after his in-game SM64 model. That hairstyle only existed, because they couldn't fit enough polygons to make his hair look good. And when they switch to new technology, Bowser's hair was somehow stuck behind the times. Rather than having to fix up his hair, like in the Smash Bros. games (which is much better), they made Bowser look like a weird hybrid of his 3D Render and his in-game model, both from Super Mario 64. But yeah, the voice was also an issue.
Same. Yoichi Kotabe's art looks expressive, but Mario's 2D artwork now since the introduction of Super Mario 3D World shines even more and stays faithful to Yoichi's style.
*Mario's old design:* Looks like an Italian D. Dastardly saving a woman from -Donkey- Cranky Kong. *Mario's design now:* A young, jolly fellow with a mustache, a red hat, and blue overalls, and a 1-Up Superstar who jumps up in the air.
My fav parts of the video! 7:45 made me snort, but I do think that Charles should've been doing the voice of Mario in the movie. Also at 13:06 I did knew it existed but I had no idea since a few weeks. So I bet few people do know it exists. Probably nearly nobody. 14:42. That came as a suprise to me. But YES INDEED WHY NINTENDO WHY DONT DO THIS TO US PLEASE
Listening to random people on RUclips talk about their niche but weirdly passionate internets for over 10 minutes is my favorite thing to do
Same
Man, this radiates early 2010s youtube video energy...and I love it

Woah that ending though, confused but also rather intrigued. Can't wait to see this story unfold👍
Welcome aboard the Lil T show, I hope you enjoy and keep up with the developing story!

I like the classic Yoichi Kotabe art the best
it is truly an iconic artstyle that I am so happy to see still being used regularly

WHERE'S THE MARIO AND LUIGI RPG ART STYLE
I used to be obsessed with new super Mario wii u
Lovin that fnaf pillow
The "Koopa troopas" from mario bros. Are actually not Koopa troopas! Those are called "shellcreepers"
And those "apples" aren't apples, they're Yoshi Berries. (They just happen to be really big, bigger than most berries in the real world)
i would say i liked the video but the way u pronounced "yoshi" should be illegal
ah but see that was the Japanese pronunciation "yossy"
@@theliltshow love some yussy
