Editorial note: this was made by using the pre-existing cutscenes and replacing the audio with the beta, and certain scenes were made shorter/longer to appear closer to the beta. The last scene with the new dialogue was edited using Photoshop to remove the watermark found in the original footage.

Weird how in the final version, the note says there are 7 koopa hotels, even though bowser also has one. Wonder why they changed it?

To be fair, the original beta had the weird eyebrow eyelid disconnect.
Perhaps originally it was supposed to be at an angle behind Mario where you could see what was written on the paper? Maybe they switched it to an angle where they didn't have to animate anything besides Mario's eyes due to lack of time or budget?
