Func. + right = access to higher notes in the allotted 2 octaves. Func. + right will toggle back to the low end. Just found your stuff. Keep it up. Lot of good inspiration here.

Just grabbed the sample pack, thank you for the recommendation! Been rewatching twin peaks today and I’m gonna let those vibes inspire me.
How do you work with odd meters on the Elektron stuff? Wrote a song in 5/4 yesterday (had to be 5/4) and it was such a headache!
Edit: preeetty sure you can go up/down an octave with FUNC + left/right but I’d have to check again

Love twin peaks, I never watched the newest season - gotta do that!
think I would just set the pattern length to a multiple of 5 (however many measures you’d want) and then go about sequencing a pattern from there. I might do more live recording than grid sequencing, since the trigs wouldn’t be aligned with the accents I expect them to be in my 4/4 workflow.
Thank you - I’ll have to try that!! I did a very brief internet search and didn’t find anything, perhaps I wasn’t looking very hard though hahah

@@SlowHaste yeah that’s pretty much what I did. Lots of sampling live recordings, too. But it was quite the headache.
I’ve also never watched the third season, but I’ll get there this time round!

In a similar vein... creating a batch of home brewed samples and treating them like a purchased sample pack can spark fresh creativity too.

Yes!! I’ve been meaning to make a guitar texture sample pack for a while now, it definitely seems like it would be a fun & relaxing process

0:22 Dude, I am so frigging Pee Owed right now but I'ma gonna hatewatch anyway and then I'm gonna give you one of those ironic thumbs up for your effort....
2:18 nailed the essential reason why OT is better than DT - Sir, I am humbled by your wizardry!

Hi, to shift octaves on chromatic mode, press shift+left/right, you only got a second octave if i'm correct

Yep, someone suggested that and it tried it out today - works perfectly!

Use inverted exponential on the filter width instead of the amp level that gets rid of the click. Works best if u use trigless trigs and sync the lfo to trig
    Btw awesome videos man

Thank you for the tip!! I need to utilize trigless trigs more, I honestly forget they are a thing to take advantage of.

You might have to access the link through his social media for the free pack - should’ve mentioned that! Thanks for watching 😎

You've always got great sample pack recs! And the high hat processing was pretty interesting, I've done fake sidechaining and I've done volume p-locking in the same way, but I don't think I've combined the two on one sound...and I've definitely not tried the inverse exp or sync trig mode for sidechaining. I have never used the sync LFO trigs, now that I think of it...there is soooo much left for me to learn on the OT!

Thanks so much!! I’m glad you found it useful. Yeah, there are a ton of neat tricks that folks pull out of this thing, I feel like I learn the most by trying to do one thing and accidentally getting an unexpected result

I think it's better to focus on making good content than worrying about clickbait, you are too deep in your numbers. Just make good content consistently and the subs will come.

Hah, thank you! My intention is always to challenge tropes a bit, and it’s fun to consider the simple act of uploading new samples as having a drastic effect on the actual instrument itself. I appreciate the feedback!
