    From Wikipedia:
Concord (/ˈkɒn.kord/) is a city in Cabarrus County, in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 79,066, with an estimated population in 2019 of 96,341. It is the county seat and the largest city in Cabarrus County. In terms of population, the city of Concord is the second-largest city in the Charlotte metropolitan area and is the 10th most populous city in North Carolina.
In 2015, WalletHub ranked Concord as the city with the 16th fastest growing economy in the United States.
The city was a winner of the All-America City Award in 2004. Located near the center of Cabarrus County in the Piedmont region, it is 20 miles (32 km) northeast of Uptown Charlotte.
Concord is the home to some of North Carolina's top tourist destinations, including NASCAR's Charlotte Motor Speedway and Concord Mills.
Concord, located in today's rapidly growing northeast quadrant of the Charlotte metropolitan area, was first settled about 1750 by German and Scots-Irish immigrants. The name Concord means with harmony. This name was chosen after a lengthy dispute between the German Lutherans and Scotch-Irish Presbyterians over where the county seat should be located. Concord is considered a relatively old town by US standards, as it was incorporated in 1806. Today, markers identifying the original town limits can be seen in the downtown area.
As county seat, Concord became a center of trade and retail for the cotton-producing region, especially on court days. The downtown would be crowded with farmers and townfolk, in addition to lawyers and their clients. During the antebellum era, wealth was built by planters through the cultivation of cotton as a commodity crop; the work was done by enslaved African Americans.
Based on wealth from cotton as a commodity crop and through textile manufacturing, Concord's white planters and business owners built some significant homes in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries; they range along North and South Union Street and Edgewood Avenue. Within the North Union Historic District is Memorial Garden. Located on 3 acres (12,000 m2), the garden winds through the 200-year-old cemetery of the First Presbyterian Church.
Located in the Piedmont, Concord became a site of industrialization with cotton mills in the late 19th century. Among the owners of the new mills in the area were men of the rising black middle-class in Wilmington, North Carolina, such as W. C. Coleman, John C. Dancy (appointed as collector of customs at the port), and others, who organized Coleman Manufacturing Company in 1897. They built and operated what is believed to have been the first cotton mill owned by blacks in the nation. They hoped to promote economic security for people of color. However, the Wilmington Insurrection of 1898, with white attacks on black areas of the city, caused many deaths, as well as destroying homes and businesses built by blacks since the Civil War. In 1900, Dancy was among more than 2000 blacks who left the city permanently after the riot. He moved to Washington, DC, appointed as the federal Recorder of Deeds, and serving until 1910. The mill operated under black ownership through 1904, hitting difficult times after Coleman died. The brick mill building was later taken over by Fieldcrest Cannon. It was enlarged and added on to, nearly doubling its square footage.
From the time of incorporation in the late 1700s through the 1970s, Concord's jurisdiction was centered around the downtown area. Since then, most annexations have taken place west of the center-city area toward Charlotte. Portions of the city limit boundary adjoin the Cabarrus/Mecklenburg County line.

I used to live in concord. You literally drove by my street off cabarrus Ave. I lived on 2nd Street. An amazing area. I miss how polite and calm people are. I live in Florida now and it seems like everything here is fast-paced. I miss sitting on my porch swing with the nice weather and woods around me ♥️

Just a little tip: It seems like your camera shakes a little, maybe it would be nice to try a new fixing system.

Excellent video. Do you mind if I ask ... what camera equipment are you using to record this ? How much video storage space do you need, to film 30 minutes of video, at 4K ? I'm an absolutely NOOB at videotaping from my car, and I would love to have a setup like the one you're using here ... thanks for any help ! :D

I use an iPhone to record. For 4K at 30fps it’s something like 3-5GB of storage.

One new addition - homeless people hang out downtown now. At night in doorways on Union. Daytime, in the alley between the library and parking deck. There is a Salvation Army shelter just North of downtown, but they cannot get hammered or have sx there

I was born, and raised in Concord, NC, and will be buried here. It was a wonderful small, quiet town. Notice I said "was". Now with population explosion from people moving here to enjoy a small quiet town, it isn't a small quiet town anymore. The traffic if horrible, because the roads are still the same as they were when the town was small. If you're in the wrong place at the wrong time get ready to wait in line. The absolute worse part is many that have moved here to get away from their big cities have brought their bad habits with them. So no, I don't care how you did it up north. BTW, if you noticed when the gentleman drove through the intersection of Corban Ave, and Church the new construction is an addition to our Courthouse. The only reason we need a bigger Courthouse is because the rise in criminals that have found our city also. I live in our Historic District. The scum actually walk the sidewalk looking for something to steal.

I’ve been in Concord NC only for 20 minutes, I bought a house there last year and I’m planning to move soon. This video helped me figure out a little more about the town . I loved the people and their southern culture and attitude but in the video it seemed quite boring. Am I right?

You’d probably have to go into the Concord Mills part of town or Charlotte for most entertainment.

But it's funny as I love her amazing this little town is but off Church Street there is some bad neighborhoods. Also off main Street there's a project community called "the bottoms". I went to the Glen center when I was in Middle School which is a secondary school when you get kicked out of school (Central Cabarrus HS/CCG middle school). It's so funny how the police department in courthouse is literally a mile away from a drug infested area
