Thanks So much for this video, I found the chart you made some time ago but didn't realise there was a video to go with it that explains the differences of everything. I'm going to upgrade my 3080 hopefully to a 50 series card just so I can play this game again but with everything maxed out.
The only RT settings you should turn on is Local shadows and Reflections, RT Lighting does almost nothing but drag the FPS by at least 50%, RT Sun shadows is something most people wouldn't notice while playing or even since a lot of the game in indoors or during night time. That is for people like me who have average cards like the RTX 3070 Moblie, I had to install the FSR3 FG mod to get to 60FPS even with optimized settings. This game is still a beast 3 years later.
hey I got the same setting and everything yeah, the game pretty much run at 60 fps of course if you have FSR Bla Blo Bli Blep, but the frametime is pretty hight do you have any idea or just stick with it
Excellent video!! I'm running a 3060ti with a 5900x and it gives me a good idea of what to expect with changing settings. I'm still trying to notice a difference in ray tracing other than the 20-30 fps loss. The game looks the same to me with it on or off.
I have very similar settings, but what I've noticed is that setting the frame rate in the video menu to something like 60 when it's running something like 65-75 uncapped really does help with the stability of the frame timing and other game factors. That drop from 75 to 65 could cause a 20-30ms stutter, which doesn't seem like much but can be noticeable in some situations when an explosion occurs and the GPU has to ramp up and down suddenly. Plus it doesn't seem to have those situations where it dips down to 55 randomly. It's also not the same as Vsync either as you're just capping the frame rate so that it doesn't run away, which you can see in the menus as they can get up to 300fps for no particular reason. Some games are really bad as the menus can get right up to 1,000 frames and all it's doing is drawing more power and creating more heat in the GPU for a static menu.
Thanks it stopped the GPU from going crazy while I'm upgrading or looking at my inventory now. Was getting annoyed because it would shoot up to 500FPS and making the temperature go up to 70 sometimes 80
The thing that really sucks is SSR (in terms of performance). Medium is ok... But for me, the difference between medium and high is huge, it's less grainy and has more details- but it's such a taxing setting. feelsbadman
Wait till 5080/5090 comes out, then revisit this game. Dont waste an amazing game on shitty hardware. Today's hardware is unable to handle this game. Even a 4090 at 4k @ dlss quality with rt overdrive struggles to get playable framerates. No, 35-40 fps before frame gen is not a playable framerate (~70-75 fps after frame gen). U need at least 60 fps BEFORE frame gen, 55 at minimum. Anything less results in too big of an input lag. 60 fps is 16.7 ms. 50 fps is 20 ms. 55 fps is 18.2 ms. 80 fps is 12.5 ms, 100 fps is 10ms. These are BEFORE frame gen, because input lag and frame times are based on the base fps.
Using the resolution scaling helped secure an extra 10fps for me now I run at 55 even with ray traced reflections on ultra (I don’t use the other ray tracing options not enough impact to warrant their FPS drops)
and if you don't have FG, please use Lossless Scaling, my pc is really old and with these settings and crowd settings on high, i do have around 35 fps, X3, means around 120. Not perfect but i really like to have the crowd, it gives such a good atmosphere.
increíble estoy jugando con todo el raytracing prendido a los mismos mismos dos que solo el juego en ultra sin RT tengo una 4060ti y con el FG boy a 125 fps con Todo y raytracing 🥰😍😍😍😍😍
Can I use high preset and then toggle PT from options? Because this video evidently proves ultra is stupid for no real visual improvement but tanks performance so much. I have 4090, and with overdrive preset + dlss q + fg I average 85ish with still sometimes drop below 60fps, I believe at high preset + PT toggle I should be 100fps all of the time.
Hi I'm sorry for asking this late, I've got an rtx 2050(slightly better than gtx 1650) with 4gb Vram any tips for me? I'm trying to get the best possible graphics I can get with atleast 30/35+ fps
Well I can't tell you the exact settings but try using the lowest preset & Increase few settings that have minimum impact on performance from my recommended settings Edit: Further disable other stuff using .ini file you can find some mods for the same on nexusmods
would be interesting to see how AMD cards compare to NVDA cards with ray tracing. I don't care about raw performance if I get low FPS with RT on. It just looks so different.
Insane detail on this video and first I’ve seen with mods included, great work
The work into this and its execution is fantastic. Thank you so much for the tips!
That is the best comparison I've ever seen and I needed that. Thanks

Este vídeo es genial, el detalle en las comparaciones, todo. Gracias YT por recomendarme esto ❤
This setting really helps a lot. My RX590 8GB can play 60fps instead of 40-50fps. Thanks bro.
The amount of work that went into to this is crazy! Results are awesome!
incredible work. wow. thank you so much for sharing
Love the charts and the optimized vs ultra comparisson
Thank you xx Came here from the image you made on Redditt xx

Actually I prefer to have sun shadows off if any type of resolution scaling is on, it always made shadows look like crap.
Sun shadows makes the shadows really soft, but no sun shadows makes the look very bad as well.
Superb comparison video. Thanks, I'll be using for my first play through on PC.
Subscribed. I hope your channel blow up bc this is insane quality, so much info yet you present it so clear and quick!

Is their a way to stop this from happening. Even my 4090 is doing this on the menu
You can cap your frames using RTSS or Nvidia control panel
@@msaucedo7836 in Settings -> Video there should be an option to cap the frame rate.

@@msaucedo7836 70 is perfectly fine even 80 depending on the GPU.
Great work dude! Keep It up. Very well explained all the graphical features.

@@kerkertrandov459 Oh come on..."Amazing game" Just no, not even close to such it was a disaster on launch and during production.
BEST of BEST!!! nearly no visual detail loss and gain 30fps well done
Amazing vid. Thanks for the effort and attention to detail. Cheers
this channel is fucking crazy, i cant believe the quality of this video.

My Optimization Solution was buying a 13900k and a 4090. Worked well.
Very good Video tho. Good work.
I also upgraded my pc recently except GPU to 7800x3d
@@dwindlingfps ya i bought this sruff Last year
Fantastic and profesional video Man ! thanks
channel name is accurate 😭😭 good video ty
0:44 whats RR+FG?
Ray reconstruction frame generation
@@dwindlingfps ohhhh frame gen, ty
Very nice comparison. Is there a way to get you Riva Tuner template? If its what you are using,. Thanks
I needed this. Thanks for the video!
Getting 100+ fps with my 3070ti using your settings + rt psycho, thanks
RT Reflections + RR is the best, turn off everything other RT.

Ray reconstruction

Hi for the texture quality i need to set it to low if i use the hd reworked project mod?
No, use max option if vram is not a problem. My 8GB VRAM fills up fast on Max out option though
what program do you use for monitoring?
this game is insane even in the minuimun settings
Very useful, Thank you!
Doing gods work
When activating grain generation, a horrible graininess is generated in the image, do you know how to solve this?
Hey any idea on how do I reduce vram usage, idk the game completely fills up my VRAM even when the base vram without the game is around 500-600 mb.
I don't think there is any vram issue with this game unless you are using RT.
Lower the texture quality i think
Holy cow man. Awesome ass job
For the ray-traced reflections, what are RR and FG?
Ray reconstruction & Frame generation
How did you get your RTSS on screen display to show "Limited by GPU/CPU"? I would love to have that on my settings to monitor my cyberpunk playthrough
It's beta version
smart comparison, thankss you

Great video! Not a fan of the oil painting look PT and FG gives.
Many thanks man.
the hd texture project consumes LESS vram? wtf
No, it consumes higher, that was after restart if you roam around the city it will fill up
amazing video
how configure rtss like this?
RT sun shadows is not worth it. Nice clean comparisons.

Ray reconstruction
engagement.
Hell yeah I gave 3060 ti too
Forza Motorsport 8 please
It never made sense to go with Ultra settings
The cars look so out of place lol
I go high everything. Feels good to use the 4090
