- Knights of Cydonia had to be restarted twice due to malfunctions (technical meltdown according to Dom) and possible breach of curfew leading the band to give it up and play Showbiz instead, making it the first time Showbiz closed a show since 2006 and only the second time since 2000

I don't get why they don't do this powerful music anymore. Like they can still play it excellently so it's not that they're too old or something like that. I would kill for another album with the style of origin of symmetry or showbiz

You can noticed they didn't prepare it, cause' matt missed some lyrics, and Dom did some different rythms during the song, they definitely chose it at the moment... and the amp destruction* at the end was fkn awesome! 😅 ✨️
@gasarockband , They play Knights probably 50 times a year, nothing to do with prepare. Muse uses synth arpeggios and sequences in many of their songs, including Knights. To play those songs perfectly in sync with the automated sequences, which often starts later in the song, they use in-ear monitors with a click track/metronome from the start of the song. The computer responsible for that click track has probably gone bad. In another video of this show you see them struggling with a laptop. They can play their songs with no automated sequences, like Showbizz and Citizen-Erased live without that click-track.
@@vin12666 I don't see what a click track has to do with forgetting the lyrics, they can play their songs fine which is why it was still amazing but they hadn't rehearsed it aka they didn't have a chance to refresh their memory
@@nighpaw4651 I don't see what forgetting the lyrics has to do with two times aborting long before the lyrics even started. It whas a tech problem. In the full show you see them struggling with equipment behind stage in between the restarts. Again, for songs without synth automation they don't need their click tracks. For KOC they need it.

They played showbiz mutiple times since 2006 by the way. In 2017. I think in 2015 during drones tour and theres a couple others.
First time closing since 2006, as per the title and the description.
