I got crazies questions ... what is the point. I mean, you need to plug permanently the arduino to a computer and you need to go in front of the computer just in case you need to add water. Having a notification by email would have been a fabulous idea. Also, if you got many plant to monitor, you need to have many arduino and component while you can just adapt the code to make it read many devices.

Didn't get you. the sensor comes with additional circuitry to process the signal from the resistive soil moisture sensor.
