Also, do you notice that the camera feels a little choppy when moving it around quickly with the mouse? Almost slightly stuttery? It made me play with my controller instead, which honestly feels better. I love this game, I made my girlfriend by it instantly so we could play together lol. I love that there's so much to level up and progress towards and all the licenses and milestones. It's like an open world animal crossing mixed with stardew valley.
I did not notice that at all! I am so happy you two are having a great time with it, it really has SO much to offer. And imagine, this is still in Early Access, like wow!

I just returned Animal Crossing because i felt myself not connected to it. I loved the crafting , fishing, exploring aspects! This game might be a better match for me 🙂. Def going to get it

Hey, I wanted to say I really enjoyed and appreciated this video! I've never seen your channel before. You did a really great job delivering a quality review. I can see it was well thought out, well scripted, focused, good vocabulary, and extra points for using the word "plethora."
I complain a lot about declining standards of quality in just about everything today (yeah, frowny face, I know) and this review was really a breath of fresh air. Video wasn't a confused mashup of jump-cuts, weird meme-y jokes, and unfocused rambling :D I've played games for a long time and this content was much more like the games reviews we'd read in good PC or console magazines back in the 90's.
Anyway, thanks for your passion for games and good luck with your channel. Don't ever dumb it down! I'm gonna go buy Dinkum now.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. I believe each content creator has a specific flow of creativity which does not fit all audiences. As such, the viewer has to find the creator that clicks with them to allow the creators themselves do their own thing.

Good video, I enjoyed your thoughtful commentary and great points. I was hesitant but honestly really like this game, it's loads of fun with a lot of content. There's so much to learn, so much to do, and a lot of fun things to discover. I do only wish that the escape screen paused the game, it could be useful if something irl pops up.
True! I think it is part of the survival genre tho, that we feel cozy but then challenged when a predator is around

And to add, you have to pick all of the items that you get. Maybe adding an option to automatically pick them all is a big plus.

An example of the use of the word Dinkum in Australia:= "So can you be fair dinkum with us?" this means can you be truthful or honest with us regarding whatever you are saying. Hope that helps

An Aussie here, the only way we would use dinkum is with the word fair. Example would be when someone tells you something that just happened to them that was absurd or crazy and you would say "fair dinkum!" It's basically like saying "jesus christ!" When reacting to something.

I'm so excited for this! Do we have any kind of estimate for full release for switch? Or is that up in the air right now
Usually when the Early Access moves to a full release, the other ports start to rolls out. The game still has a big road map ahead so I would not expect it to come to Switch before next year (but who knows 👀)

@@Anthony-pl2hk ?? Why do you want it to only stay on pc? A lot of people don't have a pc, or don't like the games you listed. It also creates more revenue opportunities for the creator, which is always a good thing.

Combat is a mechanic that the dev plans on fixing next so in a few months, it should be addressed!

You can definitely play in co-op mode. As I mentioned, I never tried but you basically play together with friends!

You can move them but I am not sure if we need to wait. But here the time does not sync with real life so you can quickly sleep and progress to the next day!

@@MissBubbles loving what i played so far. Theres a lot to keep up with but its a nice thing. I focus on something else/different each day taking my time (and hoarding as much cash as i can). Music has got a proper minecraft vibes! Good buy and i will enjoy it on other systems when it eventually comes to ps5/switch

If you do want to use dinkum in a sentence then you should use "fair dinkum" as dinkum isn't generally used by itself (there is also "dinky di") and you can just use it in place of "honest to goodness" most often to confirm if something is true. "I bought this pie for 2 bucks!" "Fair dinkum?" Honestly though, like most wierd Aussie slang, it's only really used these days in advertising or parodies. A more natural word to use would be just "True?" .
Pronunciation: dink = dingk, um = 'm. Dingk'm

Can i ask, does a low end system can run this game? Because i can only play on my laptop with the iGPU vega 8, can it run this game?
On Steam it shows that an i3 processor with nvidia gtx 560 can run it, but my gtx 1080 was going full force with the fans at time. So it depends on the graphical settings you use
