How was this possible I have no idea, he slashed trough black coated rangers, Power armor heavy soldiers with only a machete, eating them afterwards.
The few survivors that lived to tell the tale call him the "Monster of the Mojave"
His last know location was in Freeside, apparently he killed the members of the gang known as the Kings and ate their leaders, he has disappeared since."

21:50 Killed House, killed Caesar, NCR could pretty much roll on in any time and take over vegas thanks to you, but they're pissed because you stole a ride on their fancy train one time.
I'd argue the legion is even more of a threat without caesar, if legate lanius assumes power, the legion will attack relentlessly and will never surrender. The courier could also direct the legion to hijacking what securitrons there are on the strip, and thusly making them even more powerful. But more than likely legate lanius would reject that, thinking it weak.

I am actually surprised this can actually be done because quest items are extremely limited in New Vegas.
There is the missing laser pistol, which is also an quest item
so it would be weightless
