Incidentally, the L4D2 developers explained that they totally were intending on adding the features to L4D1, as a sort of expansion pack... but some of their ideas wouldn't have worked unless all of them were packaged together, so they decided to give themselves some creative freedom by making it a whole other game... though now you can play all of L4D1 in L4D2 too. L0gicz They actually had this channel in 2009 they would upload only few vids on youtube back than to promote their website and get people to visit it. but in 2011 they realised they will earn more money with just uploading it on youtube so they re uploaded all of the videos from website which they already didnt have on youtube. Bliffity Absolutely. But if you recall, he actually survived that. and then survived being swallowed by a lava planet not 5 minutes later, and then survived the collapse of the entire universe into a black hole shortly after that.
The jetsons are wonderful and all, but seriously valve, you ready yet for half-life 3? At this rate you're turning into the new duke nukem: forever, never to see the light of day. I was too young to see the first two games and now I'm just left sitting here with spunk left over from people who played them, wondering what joy and amazement they must've felt to create such patterns on the walls and floors.

L4D was better than 2...
acephantom903 Maybe was, but since L4D2 has everything L4D did plus more (and you can play the L4D coop or versus mutation if you're nostalgic). What would attract a newcomer to L4D over L4D2? Yes the sequel came out a year after the first game, but that's not uncommon in the industry.
I don't like the movement in the second game. Too floaty. I let go of a movement key in L4D1 and I stop, in 2 I slide to a stop. I also don't like the new special infected because they are just annoying in my opinion.
BloodHound Gaming. My favorite thing to do in 2 was in Vs. As a jockey and it was to troll the players... that and the gore. Everything else... just felt it was done better in L4D1.
acephantom903 Oh, I haven't noticed that floaty movement, maybe because I haven't played 1 in awhile to compare it, but I agree that movement type is annoying. And while I like the shakeup of infected in campaign and think certain levels like the hospital in No Mercy are better balanced because of them, it was always nice in 1 to have a pretty good idea of what infected you'd play just by looking at what everyone else had. Good and bad I suppose.
I just love the Mc Jagger flip off at the end. Never gets old.

I went to a Stones concert just recently. They came on an hour late, but what amused me was that about 10 minutes before coming on stage the big screen-thing played something that seemed like a trailer for a documentary consisting exclusively interviewees gushing about how great the Stones were. All through it I was thinking, "you don't have to keep selling us, everyone in here has already bought a ticket."
I got L4D2 for free on christmas. steam had it for free, it was not a gift.....i have no friends.

somehow watching this episode of Zero Punctuation at 0.75 speed made it a lot funnier for me. Yahtzee sounds more exhausted and cantankerous. Will try this for other videos.

L4D2 also added new monster types in addition to the melee weapons. It reminds me of how Doom 2 was just Doom with more monsters, different maps, and exactly one new weapon, yet everyone loved it all the same.

My dad actually went to a rolling stones concert back in the 70's, and said that they actually did bring out a T.V. and started playing episodes of the Jetsons because their band equipment didn't arrive on time.
NSMBW has more differences from its prior installment than L4D2 yet the former gets all the criticisms for being derivative.
Never has Yathzee's pro-Valve, anti-Nintendo bias been more fucking obvious.

Well, seeing as fire is commonly known as the mortal nemesis of Tanks, and Bowser breathes fire, I'd have to say Bowser. Plus, Bowser could literally just roll over the Tank and his spikes would do the rest.

+Leet 1337 If you look at it in a more meta way. The Tank would win. Given that at the end of Mario you defeat Bowser, while in L4D2 (or 1) the Tank lives as long as you play. So I would say the Tank has more of an Immortal factor than Bowser. Also when fighting a Tank even if I chucked a Molotov at him he still needed a thousand bullets to put him down. Bowser can go down with a simple jump on the head.
I know you are very well entitled to your opinion, but I can not accept the fact that Bowser would win.
+xXName Is JayXx Unlike Tanks, Bowser can't truly be killed. The closest he gets is burning up in lava and becoming Dry Bowser. That's a perk of being the main villain of a family-friendly video game franchise.
In my group that I played with I was the one that tried her hardest to remain close to her teammates while the unofficial leader of our group ran off into the distance leaving us behind, sometimes getting fucked over as a result.
Me and friends loved the four player co-op in New Super Mario Bros Wii.

when it came out, i only played one world of new Super Mario Bros Wii with my friend.... I haven't talked to him since
i don't know why but out of every zero punctuation (up to the current one of, middle earth: shadow of war) for some reason this one has made me laugh the hardest.
At the moment, L4D2 clocks in at 24 hours played, that's the time it took me and 4 friends to go through all the missions in the game once (that includes the re-release of those 4 from the first game). And we're probably not gonna stop, gotta ramp up the difficulty.

2:22, Yahtzee is right about the chainsaws. They've been in numerous games like Doom and Serious Sam. If we were to cut down every tree in the world for every zombie killed with a chainsaw in a video game, there would be no plant life left on this planet. This makes me wonder if a zombie apocalypse actually happened more people would probably survive because they're having fun killing every last zombie with a chainsaw.
When he states that a game should stick to its roots, I'm pretty sure it means that a game should keep a solid foundation while improving on other fronts. The foundation is often dictated by what time the first few games were made and/or when it was most popular.
In Sonic's case, his games were made during a time where platforming was the key to success and part of what Sonic so popular was that his platforming was indeed faster than Mario's but also smooth and inituative.

i think the real problem with Mario is that after redefining the gaming world no less than 3 times and having endless instant classics, the bar has been raised too high, the new games are still great games by themselves but they don't have the same impact that other games have had, Mario needs to innovate not because it's getting stagnant or worse but because it's what people expect of Mario.

More facts that even less people care about: In Roger Ebert's review of The Guardian, he stated that the only original touch in the movie was that "a chain saw is used against its intended target, a tree." So there have been some horror fiction that use chainsaws for the purpose of logging.

Actually my friend you are partially correct, the key word though is partially. The concept of a chainsaw was indeed meant to cut through bone, as were most chainsaws until the 1920's. (look up John Aitken) The common tool we know now was indeed designed to cut wood, but it was still based off of the mechanisms of the surgical tool. However, most if not all chainsaws can cut through flesh with ease. Most chainsaws can cut through goddamn concrete!

Good question but I vote Bowser. 1. He breathes fire, 2. He's covered in a massive shell with spikes that look like they could shred an armored car, 3. He has the ability to turn into an even bigger dragon than he already is (Giga bowser)
I just got L4D2 yesterday and ran my first mission and I'm disappointed to say I haven't found a frying pan yet. Someone gave me one in TF2 a week or so ago and it's the best addition to my gameplay since high frame rate.

Changing the colour is about as gameplay-changing as sticking a glittery rainbow sticker to the main character's face.
L4d2 needs its stand alone review
not really the same game as it was on release. well its got all the content, but at least these days it comes with all of L4D's content too so you can save your money buying one of them. back in the day everyone was pissed because it was just a level pack at full price so they could double dip a year later.
there's just not much to be said about L4D2. the difference is that people were mad at valve being stupid and making them waste their money, and nowadays the only person who's stupid for buying L4D1 is yourself.
This is true. Halo does look similar title-to-title (Halo Wars being the exception...), but the story is the main selling point. Story is what has kept Halo: CE's best-seller momentum going. Halo: CE was built around ~50/50 story/gameplay, gameplay got the attention & the story set the hook (To use a reasonably suitable fishing metaphor.).

bowser can breath fire and can jump several times his own hight. it doesn't matter how strong the tanks are it is still next to im-posible to kill a giant spiked lizard who can easily jump over/onto you whilst he is firing giant balls of fire at you.
and that's before he enters any of his giant forms in which he can throw meteors at you, cause earthquakes by jumping, can fire giant balls of fire that can break through solid brick wall and survive molten lava so hot it acts as if it water
