The serendipity of being in a brilliant cast, that gave two of the best storylines of the whole show, in which Alaska was a major player, since she was the split point; part of Rolaskatox but notably the only one to also be notably friendly with Jinkx. It’s very much luck AND Alaska being Alaska. Thats what makes it even better; it was wholly natural how it came together.

I had the pleasure of seeing Alaska perform live in San Diego this past year. She put on an AMAZING show. And it wasn't just the typical (sometimes lazy) lip sync numbers that many queens do. She really had a full concept and had us laughing and entertained the whole time. I highly recommend anyone who's an Alaska fan to see her perform. There's a reason she won All Stars, folks!!!
OKAY, love the fact that this interview with Alaska specifically brakes all the canons. They rip the whole child->human->drag queen skit, there are a lot of inter-dragrace interceptions and other convos, and it speaks so much into Alaska state of mind. And it couldn’t be more perfect that Maddy really appreciates her!
It makes total sense Alaska being a fan of Maddy's talk show. If you've listened to Alaska on Race Chaser with Willam, or even just followed her career in general since s5, you can just tell she's so in tune with the evolution of Drag Race and the cultural impact certain queens from the show, as well as the show itself, has had on the queer community. I bet when she first saw GITMS she immediately knew Maddy was onto something and it was gonna be a phenomenon on par with Unhhh, Hey Qween, Fashion Photo Review etc.

OMG, I think this is the first interview I've heard Alaska admitting the issue was Sharon's falling in love with other person, not the drugs, not the infidelity, not the chaos, she was still in love but Sharon wasn't ufff, that hurts
It was the combo of things. She explained more in her book. It was a very toxic relationship. One that completely stripped Alaska of her confidence. She stayed because she didn't think she deserved better.

in my entire school district, i was the first out gay kid. i mean everyone knew before i did of course. it does feel exactly like madonna where the whole paradigm shifts and you are this entity that people either love or despise. usually it was fine bc i was friends with all the pretty girls and the football players didn't want to lose their shot, so they were all nice to me lol
