I'm not sure I'd count Mutant Apocalypse or War of the Gems (those games feel more like action platformers with brawler-style combat), but Ninja Warriors absolutely should have been on this list.
TMNT I'm sure there were licensing issues due to Nickelodeon owning the property now, but they put Double Dragon II on the NES Classic. Not having Super Double Dragon (or any other brawler) on the SNES classic was such an avoidable mistake.
RIVAL TURF!! oh man every now and then id think back to me and my cousin playing this and could not for the life of me remember the name of the game. Thanks for this
My favourites are Batman Returns and Final Fight Tough (criminally underrated, unfortunately it came out when the life cycle of the console was almost over)
I believe Ninja Warriors was remade for the Nintendo Switch if we are talking about the same game. During it’s release, it took me several months to find a new copy.
Brilliant video. Did not know there was a beat em up pirates of dark water. I had finish the adventure one 20 times but had no idea. Also finding it quite funny that they turn Cliffhanger into something like 🙂.
There are 3 Power Rangers Games for the SNES, 1 Fighting and Two Beat em Ups. The Name is very Similar, Its Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the Movie. So 1 Game is Missing here, "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers"
Final Fight 1,2 and 3,Sonic Blastman 1 and 2,Rushing Beat series(Rival Turf,Peace Keepers and Brawl Brothers),Captain Commando,King Of Dragons,Knight Of Rounds,Undercover Cops,Pirates of Dark Water,Legend,Batman Returns,The Death Of Return Of Superman,Spider-man and Venom Maximum Carnage and TMNT Turtles In Time were my personal favorites Snes beat'n ups. They don't make games like that in nowadays.
Probably not a wise idea to put "every/ all" in the title unless you are 100% sure, because inevitably someone will ALWAYS find something you left out.
Forgot a few games. The original Power Rangers game, Prime (cancelled), Batman (prototype), Ultimate Fighter, The Ninja Warriors, X-Men Mutant Apocalypse, The Adventures of Batman and Robin (debatable) and Battle Zeque Den, and Last Action Hero.
In this entire video, only Shounen Ninja Sasuke showed more than three enemies on-screen at once (it showed four). I think the Mega Drive is better suited to these games. Streets of Rage often throws five enemies at you at once. I think Hyperstpne Heist has more enemies on-screen than the SNES version of Turtles in Time as well, but don't quote me on that. I would need to check to make sure 😅
I remember this one game in this genre. I just can’t remember if it was on the SNES. I know it involved you beating up waves of enemies before taking on the boss. There was this one particular stage where the minions rollerbladed back and forth and attacked with hockey sticks. I didn’t see it in this list.
Anyone remember a game beat em up style that you could mount on robots? I was trying to remember simply because this game was so good, but I simply can't, lol. The robots have different colors, some had fire weapons, other ice weapons. I'm preety sure it was a snes game...
I think you may be talking about "Armored Warriors" its from Capcom from the same time, so it looks like its from SNES, but it was only for arcade. www.techmynd.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/armored-warriors-1.jpg
Late reply, but you're probably thinking of Captain Commando (seen at 1:44). Later levels had mechs you could ride on, some that fired ice, others that shot out flames.
The peacekeepers teenage mutant Ninja turtles turtles in time Ninja warriors do it again brawl Brothers rival turf Excalibur 2094 and hagane blade dancer lineage of light. What are the last three aren't really beat em ups fully but the Incorporated action elements. This is a fully expensive list I enjoyed it nice job on the video thank you.
0:48 damn the snes processor was so slow. this game looks like you are playing in slow motion. i am used to the genesis' speed and fast action gameplay.
@Dean Satan Yeah, cause _Bebe's Kids_ running like shit (as opposed to something like Turtles in Time, which looks a lot more impressive to boot) is totally the SNES' fault, and certainly not caused by the programmers of a 2/10 crappy game.
I like the presentation of your video. The game at the right with the informations at the left. We don't need to come back to know the name of the game. I hope many others will do the same thing. Thanks.
I`m looking for a beatem up game that consists of a modern fighter that has its training fighting against his master, than he goes to the USA stage, then the Japan stage, then the Thailand stage, all with a boss in the end that is ninja alike. It was all in japanese, i never knew it`s name and i couldn`t pass the Third stage.
The first one is a beat em up, but the main genre is "platform" cause it's 2 way (the real beat em up you need to move your character in 8 way positions). But well noted. :)
games were hard back then...kids don't understand how pampered they are even in entertainment. very few people beat *battletoads battlemaniacs* without cheating. the sprites for that sailor moon game look nice. leave it to japan. Master of 2D to have better stuff than the West does. final fight tough. i don't recall many female characters in games from that era :3 what kind of director...sees a power rangers game...that you do not play as them in their suit 100% of the time...as a acceptable idea!?
You're right Akemi, I remember beating Battletoads for SNES, it took me forever to do that. The beat 'em up genre has a lot of great games, some of them I didn't even know. If possible, you should try some of them.
you don't recall many female characters on beat em ups, because that kind of games, was made for male characters, and male public. but you have alot female characters about aventure platforms, and some others stuff, but have nothing to do with genre. at that time, women were not a great audience for games like today. and in that time, creativity is inherent to gender. btw, power ranger on sega, has all the time the suits.. but i think in snes, They wanted to put the option to transform you as it happens in the series
I'm looking for a beat em up game with a female character who wears a cap and a necklace cross. anyone knows what is the game's name? i only remember that i played it on SNES.
Turtles in time (07:25) was the first SNES game to really blow my mind back then.
To play something almost as good as arcade at home was something.
X man mutant ,war of gem ,ninja warriors
I'm not sure I'd count Mutant Apocalypse or War of the Gems (those games feel more like action platformers with brawler-style combat), but Ninja Warriors absolutely should have been on this list.
My favorite genre on my all-time favorite console, good job, and good quality.
The Peace Keepers is my fav SNES game ❤❤❤
Thanks a lot for this video, I enjoyed it until the last second and I am now aware which games I need in my collection now :)
Many good beat em up games on SNES, thanks for this video.
I love Final Fight series it´s the best for me.
7:35 But European Version of this was in Nintendo Channel (Pirated Sega Channel)
Still the best console ever in my opinion, absolute classics:)
*So many cool games that I've never seen before! Makes me feel bad for not not playing them during my childhood and teenage years*
Its never to late
@@dvxShoeN Yeah, you're right. Once in a while I play some old games with my wife and my stepdaughter. It's great

Hey Victor, I'm glad you enjoyed! And there's more on the way! :)
Great video. The fact you added a list has earned you a👍🏻and a sub.
Thank you.

Super Double Dragon and TMNT were my jams right there. They should have been in the Super Nintendo Classic!!
TMNT I'm sure there were licensing issues due to Nickelodeon owning the property now, but they put Double Dragon II on the NES Classic. Not having Super Double Dragon (or any other brawler) on the SNES classic was such an avoidable mistake.
I'm actually playing Final Fight 3 (or Tough) and i'm very surprised: it's a huge step forward from the first and second chapter.
It's an awesome game indeed
I didn't like it. It was an ok game, but it felt more like a Rushing Beat entry rather than part of the Final Fight series.
Final Fight 3 is the only truly good beat em up for the whole console.
@@thomasbeall9069 for me, there are some other good ones - but yes, FF3 is the best SNES-brawler for sure!
FF 3 is the best one. Only Bad thing it is too easy. Ff1 still the hardest one to master
Thanks a lot! Masterpiece!
RIVAL TURF!! oh man every now and then id think back to me and my cousin playing this and could not for the life of me remember the name of the game. Thanks for this
I think they added this game to the Nintendo Switch. Maybe you both could play it again.
My favourites are Batman Returns and Final Fight Tough (criminally underrated, unfortunately it came out when the life cycle of the console was almost over)
Ninja Warriors is missing. 2nd best snes beat em up after turtles in time
@Tom Caine have you played it yet?
Ninja Warriors Again is second to none, best on the console.
That was my shit!
I believe Ninja Warriors was remade for the Nintendo Switch if we are talking about the same game. During it’s release, it took me several months to find a new copy.
"Your character needs to move in a 8 way position on the scenario"
For me, when I was growing up it was all teenage mutant ninja turtles.
Brawl Brothers one of the best beat m ups for Snes, I have streets of rage 4 the gameplay has almost the same feeling
Thank you! Im in quarantine and I need some games to play with my gf. Now I have a list to games to play in coop
my choices
1. Super Double Dragon
2. TMNT
3. Knight of Rounds
4. Final Fight 2
5. King of Dragon
Yeah as others have mentioned, Ninja Warriors is sadly not on the list. Learned about a lot I've never seen though.
Brilliant video. Did not know there was a beat em up pirates of dark water. I had finish the adventure one 20 times but had no idea. Also finding it quite funny that they turn Cliffhanger into something like 🙂.
It's a little bit generic - but, still a good game and worth to play! Check it out!

@@Palendrome Being right, you fucking moron. Their name is "Virtual Game Library" either you have standards or you don't.
@Denny of Den Kat Games Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (not MMPR the movie) and Super Ninja Boy.
Oh also The Ninja Warriors.
