I fished up by Navajo dam back in the 1990s with my dad. We saw a Hawk dive into the water and pull out a trout. As he got about 20 feet in the air he let go of it and the fish fell back into the water. We noticed right below him was a sign that read "catch and release" 😁

I can barely see a size 22 when its in my hand, not to mention when i cast it ten feet away and its under water...you cant even see a fish under water that far away

You should be able to see fish from 10 feet away with polarized sunglasses. You aren’t looking for a size 22 while it’s in the water (nobody can see that), that’s why it’s important to know the distance between your indicator and flies. Check out my sight fishing video for info on this.

Enjoyed your video! When you added the indicator you did not say if you changed from dry to nymph or not. If you did, what kind of nymph?

Thank you Michael! Yes I swapped to midges, I believe it was a red annelid and Krystal flash 👍🏼

Thank you! This is the quality waters below Navajo Dam. If it’s your first time be sure to look for the Red Chile trout signs for fishing regulations👍🏼 Catch and keep begins at the deep pool at Crusher hole. Goodluck!

Another Tip....i tie on an egg pattern or san juan worm pattern about 11 to 15 inches from my midge, the egg/worm is my under water indacator.....if it stops i set the hook, clear water tactics. ;)
