The words you must keep in head with this coil : big coil going deep but keeping decent separation ! The others big coils are not so good for separation.

Just received my thunder coil, I have heard people say not to buy the coils from Ukraine. Your thoughts? I also heard Ukraine is where they were always made. Does anyone know exactly where the nel coils were made first? Are any made in USA??? Thanks!!!!
They are made in the Ukraine and have a good reputation. If bought in the US, warranty coverage is handled here. If bought from outside the US, the coil has to be sent back to where it was purchased if there are ever any issues. Good luck with your Thunder.
All the major dealers have the NEL coils and I just received this yesterday. If your local dealer does not have one, you can check with Colonial Metal Detectors, Big Boy Hobbies, Just Show Me Treasures, Kellyco, etc.
It is slightly deeper and covers a lot of ground being 14.5" long. Target separation is a little better since its 10.5" wide vs 13" wide with the Tornado. Also very stable like the Tornado.
I am delighted with the new sensor to Garrett at pro, quiet operation, a lot of depth on small objects.

On deep targets the number readings fluctuate regardless of the coil. On shallow targets, the ID numbers lock on the same as the stock coil.
This coil on Excalibur is perfect and size :))
