      Thanks to all for the positive feedback, Eiretrains has done a good job on the old tapes, there's definitely more on the way.

    Aw nice one Ciaran, I have been living alongside that line my whole life and I have never seen the Weed sprayer on that line, I presume it was its last visit when this was taken.

    Once again another excellent shot Eiretrains! Especially 155 running around the weedspray in Howth, a thing long in the past now.

      Thanks to Colm though for filming it in the first place :)

      Oh, superb footage from the Camcorder considering when it was taken. How did you even get to transfer it to the computer?

      DeutschBahn in HD Like the majority of my own videos up to recently it's all pre-digital and on tape format.

      Oh, its excellent quality for when it was taken. I have some videos from my old camcorder but they can't be transferred easily.

      The run around loop and ground-frame was there until 2003/4, there pictures of it on Eiretrains eiretrains.com/Photo_Gallery/Railway%20Stations%20H/Howth/IrishRailwayStations.html

    Excellent footage Ciarán, thanks for uploading. Is there mush of his old stuff left? I sure am glad Colm filmed all these things! Jesus 0:25 looks like someone's garden!!!:D There's a fair bit of spray flying onto the platforms at Sutton too! Two loco hauled trains in two days on the Howth branch must be a record:) Surely the Howth branch is sprayed every year along with every other line?

    • @Eiretrains
      @Eiretrains  10 лет назад

      Plenty still to upload including my own! Yeah the Howth branch was sprayed every year like the rest but in the early 2000s they just stopped going to Howth, yet it runs on a brand new line to M3/Pace now.

      Do you have any more footage from Donabate?Why did they stop spraying the Howth branch?

    • @Eiretrains
      @Eiretrains  10 лет назад

      I've more video from Donabate and other northern line places but they're on DV tape so it's not as quick to edit/upload. I think as the Howth branch is short enough it's done by track-gangs.

    • @IrishModelRail
      @IrishModelRail 10 лет назад

      Do the track gangs just use a normal gardening like weedsprayer?

    • @Eiretrains
      @Eiretrains  10 лет назад

      ***** I say it's probably the same or similar.

  • @Eiretrains
    @Eiretrains  10 лет назад

    I never saw it either, you might be right it being the last time, but it could have been 2001/2.

      Colom said it was 1997 when he took it I think
