I traveled to Michigan to get a first look at the refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe! This is a preproduction model and we didn't get much time with the car so I apologize for the super quick first look. When the new Tahoe is officially released I will be sure to do a deep dive tour!

Yep,,,rather buying this ,,,just buy a mini VAN ,,,wanna AWD, Toyota Sieanna has AWD option! geezzz...this SUV just looks stupidly not necessary big! I rented 2 year ago,,,it was like 16mpg!

No lower anchors in the rear is a bummer. But given how tough it is to get back there, probably not many kids going in 3rd row in car seats.

How about finding out from General Motors what they have done to address failing lifters and camshafts that have affected both the 5.3 and 6.2

The suburban has the shallow center console because it slides with more storage underneath and u know this but I’m guessing you forgot that it moves in some models

I think the middle seat in both the second and third row doesn't have a headrest because it may be optimized for children who are short that can actually experience the comfort of adults being tall.
Still no pax window sunshades.. I don't understand.

How is it possible in 2025 to not have center position head restraints in the 2nd and 3rd row? We have an old 2001 Suburban, and when we made the decision to buy that, one of the negatives we had to live with was this same issue. I figured that surely, 23 years later, they would have fixed this. A real head scratcher. Thanks for your review.
It is Z71 package…. You can expect a head rest on RST, high country, premier, or LT trim levels

love the interior but it is the EXACT same one found in the new 2024 Traverse , which we are told will get the same infotainment/Dash combination across all trims...... this means that the Cheapest traverse 38k, will have the exact same interior as the most expensive Tahoe 90k+.
Hopefully no incandescent tail lights which rally turned me off

So basically, it got the new screens and a slight front end refresh, otherwise it's exactly the same as the current model lol wow so exciting

Don’t forget people the engine problems with these things. Lot of people having to take the car back for a new engine. Get the duramax if you can.
I love 2025 Chevy Tahoe have more room than old Tahoe. Is great have 3 engine. Have enough power for towing. Have room for all passenger of cargo have all led lights.❤❤😊😊❤❤.

Is this a refresh or a new generation?
They don’t put headrests on the middle seats because it would obstruct your rearview mirror view out the back.
That’s incorrect. Every manufacturer aside from GM does it. Also all headrest are removable so they could easily add them and then they could be removed. And finally a person their would also obstruct visibility.
Three children in one middle bench? Surely not 3 car seats, I doubt they would fit in the middle.

It's still a Chevrolet, don't get obsessed with it as it will fall apart in 3 years or less. The Car Mom is just looking at features and not long term reliability.

What are you even talking about? This vehicle has the same power plant it had 10 years ago, they have not changed it only made upgrades to them. The new diesel isn’t even brand new, it’s been around it’s just been updated & finally in its second generation. *gm* is clearly being mindful of reliability for this segment especially or else their most profitable models would receive new V8 motors as replacement engine similar to their mid-size SUV and pickup truck lineup replacing the old V6 motor.

The Tahoe is a beast and will last you a long time if you take care of it. Mine is going on 17 years old and it is in great shape!

I'm sorry but as a parent I never left my child behind maybe because unlike careless parents Im not always on my phone doing nothing important like tik tac or Facebook or anything else useless. no those are updated, full led, vs partial led in the current ones. the t shape is now the blinker to now. certainly improved but not by much.
