    Thanks much for the comprehensive review of this ZM kit.
    For them that can't bear to not ever see again all those internal parts, we bring you the miracle of translucency! : )

    Hi Pete, it was a Hawker Tempest flown by Pierre Closterman, who flew Le Grand Charles. Lovely kit and great video.

    Wow, nice review of a nice kit. Back in the 80s I managed to visit the Deutsche Museum in Munich, where they showed the original Do335, on which this kit is based. this thing is HUGE…and of course did I build a kit of it, but in 1/72 and as double-seat nightfighter version from Revell. Didn’t find any other kit of the Do 335 back then

      Thanks, yes I knew it was a Tempest, 'Typhoon' was a slip of the tongue, I realisd (too late) when I saw the first video playback. I have made that error before. 🤭👍🏻

    Really enjoyed your short history of the aircraft at the start..Your knowledge and love of the subject was naturally conveyed..You should branch to another channel.!
    Doubt I’ll get this kit as price and scale are a bit too big for me.So 1/48 version for me if I do..But still enjoyed your review and nice to still have a look at the kit.

      Thank you so much for your kind words! If you like my Historic chat, check out my 'Battle of Britain' vid, or the 'Amiens raid', or 'Steve McQueen, Le Mans and Porsche' or Colin 'Chapman's Lotus 88' as I think you might like those. I know what you mean about the size, I would struggle to find room for the 1/32 kit.

    Apparently, the Do.335 pilot had the facility to blow off the rear prop and upper fin before bailing out so he didn't get hit by them on the way down.

    • @paulstroud2647
      @paulstroud2647 2 года назад

      Unfortunately the canopy release handles were fixed to the canopy frame, so in an airborne emergency the pilot would lose his arms...

    I prefer the more orthodox war birds of WW2 , but that looks an excellent kit.
    At the price, it’s not a kit to b*gg*r up and throw against the wall in frustration.
