- Johnny Mullenax is a Tulsa born guitarist and songwriter who's been raised in the folk and bluegrass roots of Oklahoma. Claiming wide-ranging influences from AC/DC and The Ramones to John Coltrane and Parliament, Johnny’s style is reminiscent of Billy Strings-a sound he calls a funky country bluegrass good time for working folks.
Spending time on the road with fellow Okie TJ McFarland (Tennessee Jet) and playing as a sideman for five years with several bands, he's always looked to do a project of his own....and we're so glad he's done it.
Johnny started a Sunday Bluegrass Brunch residency at Tulsa’s famed Mercury Lounge in January 2021, and it has become a beacon for musicians and fans alike. Here at District Bicycles in Stillwater, he's joined by many those Oklahoma players who make our music scene so vibrant.

Jordan Hehl on bass

Jake Lynn on drums.
