XGaster probably got really miffed at the fact that he had to be viewed without his consent by beings whom he considers to be Unknown Variables in his Plan to create the Perfect Universe.
I’m doing a breakdown or this animatic bc I’ve been so pumped for it and you did phenomenal. 0:03 silly little guy with the sweetest face 0:05 I love the pose and movement here- for a animatic, it’s right out the gate smooth and refined 0:08 you did the impossible- you figured out how to draw XFrisk’s hair…I applaud you. 0:09 “I had one goal in mind” and it having Frisk turn away in shame and anger while Cross shares the sentiment is a lovely comparison. 0:27 oh goodness he’s here and you captured that intro wonderfully- he looks like such a little shit 0:30 he’s so silly look at him spin 0:33 now they both get to be silly 0:35 “just wait” oh boy don’t trust a guy with talking glasses 0:38 I love how you portrayed how little personal space Fresh gives him- you get hyped for their dynamic and yet you also feel the unease across I’d likely feeling when he slams his hand on Cross’s shoulder. 0:43 MY BABY OH HOW I ADORE YOU SWEET THING 0:44 Frisk’s face is so silly. I also like how Epic seems a bit nervous and awkward. Love the different colors here. 1:34 “follow the North Star” with his hand out once again is wonderful lyric association 1:37 it’s interesting how he’s still distrustful of it and sees Dream as a literal star. It’s quite a beautiful scene. 1:38 the smooth tentacles overtaking the screen is wonderful. 1:39 the knife transition is INCREDIBLE. 1:41 silly guy 1:49 your layout here is quite impressive. I love the depth and you can see your skills honing in on this part. 1:50 once again a lovely transition 1:51 he is so silly bro that face 1:52 good call back. I like how this is showing what Fresh was up to during the fight in .6 1:53 then handing Poppy the binoculars makes me wonder if they could sense or see that Fresh was about to lift them, so they didn’t want them to fling them on accident. 1:56 this is SO cute. Not enough people make content of Fresh and Core Frisk’s dynamic so this little scene of him lifting them is adorable. He also spins them a lot more carefully than Cross. Keeps it short and brief. Unsure if that was intentional, but I think it shows further the small care they have for one another 2:02 what’s up nightmare was wondering when you’d show up 2:10 the Gaster scene was executed perfectly. 2:12 pretty boy 2:17 I love the locket being the windbag. He’s not gonna lose it again 💔 2:24 interesting Core Frisk says this, bc they would KNOW he doesn’t have another chance. They can see the future. It’s quite literally a warning to not mess it up bc they know what will happen if he does 2:30 having Frisk say all the tidbits of the inside scoop of his journey is a really good choice. 2:42 I love how you include how important Frisk was to him despite everything. Especially since he’s older here. His home was his best friend. 2:56 him walking RIGHT into the battle is incredible bc I always wondered how long they were in there for before the fight started. Overall, wonderful animatic and I enjoyed every second, as you can see LOL. This was well worth the wait!!
