You’re one of the most emotionally intelligent people I’ve ever come across! No degree can capture that. Youre so wise and doing a great job

Our perceptions of ourselves can be so horribly cruel. I saw the title and I was instantly kicked with this huge sense of unfairness-how can you possibly think of yourself as a failure? You write the most gorgeous words: I don’t know anyone who has such an instinct for poetry AND prose as you do ! And you can twine it all together with such effortlessly (or rather, you have the ability to make it appear effortless) stunning cinematography-such a warmth of contact with the world. And you are so very loved ! And a mother ! Keelin you are the very antithesis of a failure :)) also this white top looks so beautiful on you, you look like Tess of the d’Urbevilles

Thank u so much!! I meant more in the way it’s okay to fail, our failures are as much a part of life as successes are - maybe even more invaluable because we can learn from them 💖 thanks again xx

youre so wise and selfaware but the main thing thats so admirable for me is the fact that you are always working on yourself and putting in the effort for introspection and for learning different skills to help you keep building yourself in a harmonious and balanced way. So nice, your babys got such a nice example and a loving mom whos trying her best and i think thats the most important

The flaking/unreliability is also people who were emotionally neglected (it's not just from being coddled) because either way you were never taught HOW to deal with and manage your emotions and rely on yourself

I hope this can help you or anyone struggling with fear of losing memories-but anxiety is a huge factor in this! If you struggle with anxiety, it’s likely that your brain is not encoding these memories in the first place (too much anxiety = you not focusing on the situation e.g. if you’re in you’re head worrying during the situation you’re trying to remember) I also used to worry about Alzheimer’s but I found that my fear was mostly in not being able to *retrieve* memories. Anxiety takes a lot of your mental clarity, but it doesn’t have to alter your brain permanently, there are many many resources out there to help! You’re not alone!

KEELIN thank u for this. I am with you on the whole recently feeling all these negative thoughts and self-doubt. Imposter syndrome has been alive and well in me recently, and it helps to hear you speak about all this. I know I'm smart, and like you, I'm willing to learn but I am not pursuing a bachelor's degree (I'm 20) and that looming feeling of I AM NOT WORTHY BC I AM NOT EDUCATED is the worst. I decided to get certified as a life coach, and recently my brain has been like HEY UUUU WHO DO U THINK U ARE TRYING! But, I'm realizing these feelings come in waves, and for me, a degree isn't me following my heart and that is what matters most.
Also, listened to the pod this morning, LUUUUVVV, one of the best episodes so far IMO 💚also! u are looking gorgeous

And I should’ve mentioned but I only just remembered - the attachment of age and success, why do we feel as if we can’t go back to college when we’re older?? There’s so many options down the line for when we feel ready or if we ever feel ready - there’s so much I want to learn before I die !! YOU ARE WORTHY
