Please remember that we are NEVER asking people to answer our questions even if we are wrong. We have NOT watched ANY of the TV shows and I'm told I can't even read the comments on this video because people feel the need to correct something said in this video and by doing so are spoiling something else we have not seen. My mods are currently going through this video banning all of you who are doing this. It sucks because I'd love to interact with people here but I can't as I want to experience all of this spoiler free. Please be considerate and mindful when leaving comments. Apologies this was long. - Suzy
I don't know why people watching can't hold back and not spoil things! I always am very careful when I want to point out something a reactor missed or bring up some in world lore that they might not realize to not have it reveal important future plot.
Wish you could do more than ban them! Keep going mods!
@@thomaswilson5966 you don't understand them not wanting spoilers in the comments so they can interact with the people?
@@Weinzierl1973So : explain to me, what further action you would like to do to those individuals who accidentally divulge some information, because (You) said banning them is not enough, now who's being hyperbolic, or are you one of the new monitors inquiring minds would like to know, 🤦♂️
@@thomaswilson5966 so hard to conversate in "text" and not in person. My "do more than ban them" was dripping with hyperbolic font - I was supporting Suzy's comment, not asking for someone to be, I don't know, killed. Is everything 100% literal to you?
And from my perspective and in my opinion, without being hyperbolic - it is NEVER an "accidental divulge". These people can't help themselves most of the time and it ruins the experiences of the reactors.
Also, I don't see your comment anymore that I originally replied to - did you delete it (or maybe someone else? mods?)
Anakin is 19 here, and Padme is 24, so the age gap isn't that big. Also the clone troopers and stormtroopers are different. Clone troopers are clones of Jango, stormtroopers are regular people recruits.
The Clone Troopers were the original Stormtroopers, so they're technically the same.
@@passionsquietrage but Stormtroopers aren't Clonetroopers. The Stormtroopers were recruits of normal citizens that volunteered to serve for the Empire.
@TheShaneCarter The Clone Troopers did the bidding of the Empire in the early days, so they were the original Stormtroopers. We don't know when they were renamed to Stormtroopers though. Yes, the Stormtroopers we know are regular dudes who either joined willingly or were forced to do so and are far less skilled than the Clone Troopers.
@@FosterTravis1071 nah she's good. It's half plus seven. ((24/2)+7)=19 🙂
@@FosterTravis1071since this an entirely different time and societies comparing it to earth at this time is a bit outlandish 😉
This movie really highlights why Qui-Gon would've been a better master for Anakin. In addition to being far more experienced and having a broader view of the force, Qui-Gon showed a lot more patience and understanding; and actually acted like a father to Anakin, in the brief interaction they had together. Obi Wan, by contrast, had only recently become a Jedi Knight when he took Anakin on as an apprentice, was more dogmatic (like the rest of the Jedi Council), and was very impatient with Anakin. And while Anakin viewed Obi Wan as a father figure, Obi Wan treated Anakin more like an annoying little brother.
Because of this, Palpatine was able to easily step in act like the father figure Anakin wanted; all the while stoking his ego and planting seeds of doubt in him about the Jedi. And even without watching Revenge of the Sith, it's easy to see how this leads to Anakin's downfall. Needless to say, it's widely excepted that if Qui-Gon had survived and trained Anakin, he never would've become Darth Vader.
That’s why I love the fact that the fight between Maul and Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan is called “duel of the fates”. It really was a fight for the fate of Anakin
If that happened then the story of DV likely would not have been. And Eps 4 5 6 would not have been. 😉
Agree. And it's hard to know that Kenobi didn't think you should have been trained AT ALL in the beginning & only took him as a Padawan because it was Qui-Gon's dying wish. Obviously I think through the years Obi-Wan & Anakin get past that & truly are good friends, its why Vader killing him will be so sad.
I'm sorry, I disagree with everything you just said. I think Qui-Gon would have been an even worss Jedi/Force master than Obi. Qui-Gon was already very close to the Dark Side himself, and I just don't see him giving an F' if Anakin went Sith-pretender. Maybe the Sith could teach the Council how to really be a Jedi?
Anakin already had a lot of Dark. It was clear to basocally everyone it was a bad idea, except it was Qui-Gon's dying wish.
Oh absolutely. And being a bit of an outlier compared to the rest of the order he probably would have had a much more nuanced view of the dark side that he could have passed on to Anakin, who knows, if he still had tendencies he could probably have channeled them into something resembling Mace Windu's style rather than fully giving in
23:15 _See, I don’t see the dark side with him. He just wants to do things differently. LIKE ME!_ LOL 😅 Oh it’s cute when people don’t have any idea just yet.
The reason Yoda sometimes uses a cane is because of his age, but when he needs to, he can tap into the force giving him great speed and agility as seen in his lightsaber battle with Count Dooku. Once he stops tapping into the force he needs his cane once again .
Yoda is like 700 here
@@VergilTheLegendaryDarkSlayer no, he's like 875~, he says he's over 900 years when speaking to Luke in episode 6, and Luke is soon to be born
@@FredrikHenriksson82 didn't know Yoda was that old, the more you know
Seeing Yoda jump around, like a madman, was definitely the highlight of the movie for me. I always wanted to see Yoda in action, and this movie didn't disappoint.
We seriously need more of Yoda's younger days and life before the events of Phantom Menace made into a series or movies.
Politics is the whole point of Star wars
Honestly two things that create a lot of controversies, these movies are all about. Politics and religion. But Star Wars overall handles both well generally. Sometimes it's a little heavy handed, but overall very well
Wars, after all, is just the violent part of politics.
I know I'm way late watching this but idk if steejo knows this but when someone is chosen to be a jedi they are basically taken from their family when still infants so most jedi don't know their family. That's why in episode one Yoda said he is too old. Because he's already known unconditional love from his mother
Anakin is so intense in this movie that George should have nicknamed him C-Creepio
"Who the man? Yoda man!" Marketing for this movie was wild...
He a teen monk with super powers & she is a workaholic activist royal (elected). Why do people think they would not have an awkward "lets talk about the weather & our childhoods" convo like most people on the first date?
Thanks Suzy for understanding that laying on the beach after a swim is not Anakin's idea of fun after living on a planet where sand storms killed people & destroyed everything.
Teenagers in general are awkward. Not to mention those who have never dated anyone lol
*I love the fight between Dooku and Yoda so much. Also, the 3 beasties sent in to kill Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padmé are a reek (the rhino-looking one), an aklay (the one that looks like a praying mantis) and a nexu (the tiger-looking one).*
*Fun fact: Samuel L. Jackson asked the director George Lucas if his character Jedi Master Mace Windu could have a purple lightsaber so he could find himself easily during the Battle of Geonosis in the sea of blue and green lightsabers....and because it's his favorite color. (Mine too, honestly)*
He also talks about wanting to just be an extra(as many other actors have ie Daniel Craig) so when he was told of course and showed up and asked to pick a light saber... He was on cloud 9😊
And because Mace Windu is just awesome like that.
1:22:08 John Williams “Across the Stars” one of my all time favorite Sci Fi love themes❤
Between Episodes 2 and 3 is the Clone Wars series which is awesome Star Wars content.
My favourite star wars contet of all time indeed
@abobanger9054 I have friends that say they're Star Wars fans, then I ask them if they've seen the Clone Wars series and they say no, then I tell them they're not true fans. What's worse is that they end up watching the shows with no knowledge of the Clone Wars or Rebels and they don't get the true emotional connection.
I'm happy that you are watching them. It took me my whole lifetime to watch them as I was born in 1974
Wow Suzy you are the first reactor to catch the DV shadow from Anakin 😮 very very few see it. I know I didn't for many years. 👍
They had a similar shot for a TPM poster so it was pretty obvious
@@orphanedhanyouwell not pretty obvious.. as not everyone saw the poster.. 🙄
The first teaser poster they released for episode 1 showed a kid in the desert with a Darth Vader shadow so we didn’t even get a chance to be surprised.
We all knew he was Vader
Yeah because the first little blonde boy MIGHT NOT have been Anakin????
1:16:43 they had an animated show in the 1980’s called Droids. There are also 2 Ewok movies.
This is not a spoiler, you both misunderstood the conversation with Yoda about how the clone troopers came to be. Sifo-Dyas was in fact a Master Jedi (Obi-Wan confirms that), and he did order the creation of the clone troopers via the conversation Obi-Wan had with the Kaminoan's (the tall necked aliens). Sifo-Dyas, however, according to Yoda and Mace Windu did it without the authority of the Jedi Council nor did he have the authority of the Galactic Senate to do so. The reasonings why he did so, were not included in this movie (they would go into greater detail in other star wars books however). Jango Fett then told Obi-Wan that he had been recruited to be the clones template via a man named Tyranus, on one of the moons of Bogden. According to Obi-Wan, then not long after contracting with the Kaminoan's, Sifo-Dyas was killed (which we are never told by whom but are able to presume the villain once Episode III is finished). Obi-Wan was then ordered by the council to bring Fett back to Coruscant for questioning. Again, this is not a spoiler.
Yeah it is not well explained in the movies that Count Dooku is Darth Tyranus.
@@Trygvar13Sidious calls Dooku Lord Tyranus in the movie
@@2apocalypse-X Yes I know but I know a lot of people who had heard it but still did not make the connection that he was Darth Tyranus.
6:09 Don't worry Suzy the Stars Wars fandom is simple... Give us more Saber fights, Force pull, force push and cognitive suggestions... And we will be in Cloud city forever!
I’m surprised they haven’t mentioned that Mace Windu was played by Samuel L Jackson yet
Yoda won’t use the force for his own benefit, only to help others.
Hence why he suffers the effects of advanced age until he has to act to protect and uses the force to give him the strength and agility of a far younger… er… Yoda.
They introduced 100 new species because they had the ability (and money) to do a lot of things they couldn't do in the original 3 films.
Yeah it's crazy to think in an ENTIRE GALAXY you see all the species just visiting 5 planets, most briefly, in the OT.
The politics parts are not garbage at all and extremely important for how the galaxy ends up in the state its in during the original trilogy. The garbage parts were considered the focus on jar jar and anakin's poor young actor
Star wars episode III is the best one, you'll love it
20:44 Imagine if Padmé woke up in a panic right as Anakin swung the lightsaber over her face 😆
Great reaction as always. Can't wait to see your reaction to episode III. It's hands down my favorite out of the series.
She's either dead or turning into a Sith Lord XD - Steejo
In his youth Lucas was a car racer, so that's why there's a lot of emphasise on things like pilots and vehicles.
When you say Starbucks you think coffee, I think Battlestar.
There's an Aberdeen in the desert of California, out toward Nevada, and also one in Washington State along the Pacific Coast. 🙂
I have seen this movie multiple times and I had never noticed what they did with the "shadow scene" Wow! Thanks! 😮
It is against the Jedi Order to use the force to help Yoda walk, but perfectly fine to power his lightsaber battle against Dooku.
Anikin is only 4 years younger than Padme. Mistress Jocasta Nu practically is the archive, also the only Jedi knight ever called Mistress not Master.
All of Star Wars is political, and the politics of the Prequels literally inform the plot of the entire universe…
The Prequels are about the fall of democracy. You can not like it, but let’s not knock it as if nobody enjoyed it or it wasn’t relevant…
I swear Suzy would make an excellent Sith Lord. 😂
In regards to romance Jedi's are not directly forbidden to love others, but attachment to others is forbidden. However, the distinction between the two is different to everyone and has been a point of contention among fans. The original inspiration Lucas drew from was the monkly principle within certain religions of detachment from worldly possessions and physical relationships for spiritual enlightenment.
I love your videos I always enjoy watchin how great you guys are I started watching you guys last year around this time when you guys were watching Harry Potter seeing you post makes my day
23:46 LEGO Star Wars: The Videogame
out of thousands of planets in the galaxy is ridiculous. So many ignore the help the Gungans give the Nubians & Jar Jar gives the Jedi. People claim Lucas made them "dumb savages" but then ignore their own gross hate that they don't speak English/Standard well since it's not their first language & have a history of having to share the planet with the human Nubians that are not
It was a callback to Star Wars Episode IV when in this movie Obi Wan tells Anakin why do I get the Feeling you will be the Death of me. That ends up happening in Episode IV.
Your a lucky couple, to both love Star Wars and share this love with others that wish they had that with their wife or girlfriend.
And now we have a WONDERFUL animated Show called "Star Wars The Clone Wars"
that tells the story between episodes 2 and 3! it fleshes up so much of the clone wars era!
Lol 0:54 we are about to address the Anakin Skywalker... Suzy is just with is in body not in the Force!
Anakin has been having prophetic dreams from the Force for a long time about his mom being in danger. And Obi-Wan repeatedly dismissed it as "dreams" because Anakin was "too attached". He basically gaslit Anakin into denying the Force. While it doesn't excuse Anakin's rage causing him to lose control since it's wrong to kill innocents that you can't prove were involved in a crime, the Sand People of that tribe knew & possibly participated/supported in Shmi's torture for over a month. That's pretty darn evil.
I got so excited when you guys mentioned something about…..we planning on watching THE MANDALORIAN!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
They couldn't go back Suzy. The Jedi would consider helping Anakin's mom 1) giving into emotion & being too attached to her 2) not the Jedi's place to get into the Outer Rims politics surrounding slavery. Why? Because the Jedi have lost sight of what there purpose is - to do good.
If she would have made it a decent way into Episode 3 without making the Anakin connection, we could have had probably the best part of the chronological watch order...
The weirdest part about Padme's age, is why does Naboo elect high school students to be its chief executive?
Hierarchy was based on bloodline for a long time. Since she was "Queen" that is a very bloodline related position. Not elected. Senator is. Which she is now and shr is older of course
@@CrazeeAdam Queen was also an elected position, with a set term. That's why she is no longer queen, her term expired. It specifically says that she had been elected "queen".
15:56 lol
36:53 lol Steejo
1:41:26 was looking forward to this moment Love didn’t disappoint
Enjoyed your reaction as usual. Looking forward to watching your reaction to ep3
I love steejo his future dad humor gonna be so peak xD
old movies still look good because they used film, which has a higher resolution than digital
Actually this movie was the first major blockbuster movie to be shot entirely in a digital format.
I always feel giddy right before the seismic charges go off! That sound is legendary!!
Notice the Parallels between 1,2,3 & 4,5,6 & later 7,8,9
R2 and 3PO DID have a cartoon show, called DROIDS. It was set after episode 6.
fun fact yoda uses form 4 when fighting with a lightsaber due to his small size
3PO's 17 or whatever puns in the arena fight annoyed me at least as much as Jar Jar in the previous one. "We heard people didn't like Jar Jar, so instead of shoehorning him into the arena fight, we're forcing in C-3PO instead, and making him just as idiotic."
Actually, the reason for Jar Jar Bink's comic relief was because C3-PO and R2-D2 were not developed in the first prequel. Those 2 droids drive most of the comic relief for the Star Wars movies. Because they are kinda the outsiders in the Skywalker story. If you notice once they get established you see less and less of jar jar...
Anakin has been polishing his saber to the thought of Padme for almost a decade.
😂
Who would have n😅t...?
1:40:02 not his arm!
Just needed the dialog of Hans’gar and Franzok during that stamping line scene. Heh.
Yoda's light saber fight between him and Count Dooku was amazing especially when he does the flips and tricks at the same time
Calling clone trooper stormtrooper will never not piss me off😂
I think Suzy's goal for the next movie, is to remember the white guys are called Storm Troopers.
Well, the guy behind Darth Maul, Ray Park, was an AMAZING fighter, since he’s an expert in martial arts, BUT when it comes to acting, well, that explains his very few scenes, actually when he talks, it’s not him, they didn’t like his performance when it comes to his voice so when editing they changed it. But yes, the character was great and would be great to have more from it and WAY LESS from Jar Jar. And the gungans were not that bad, it was THAT gungan in particular, the one that shouldn’t have that importance.
The Galaxy is on a turmoil and the Techno Union out here producing some sick beats.
You guys are completely fine. I know it might be the internet, but I saw some advice that goes along the lines of "Don't shame people for things they don't know about. We can't know everything all of the time".
People forget the reason Storm Troopers are so bad is because it was the '70s and '80s and the mooks couldn't be competent elsewise the Heroes would have lost. That beings said Strom Troopers still wax Rebel Soldiers anytime they meet.
1:14:47 she’s not the only one.
if you are doing TV shows i highly recommend starting with the animated ones Clone Wars, Rebels and bad batch before moving on to Mandolorian etc. for character backstories and contest :D also Suzy is going to love the battledroids in clone wars
For timeline sake I would recommend watching the Obi-Wan series and Rouge One following episode 3. The Mandalorian takes place after ep6.
The Lake Retreat is at Lake Como, Italy
Lol "i'm not one for politics"
When she said that. Steejo knew this would be an interesting watch for episode 2. I think it's pretty interesting but i understand some can't get around it either. Imo this movie does take a couple watches to get everything. But once you do, its amazing
Like that comversation between Obi Wan and Jango is just so good. Is it just talking? Yes. But everything both men say has double meaning pretty much
Attack of the Clones is a great movie
Jedi used to be allowed to marry and have families. However, Jedi having attachments started to cause problems, I believe one Jedi fell in love with a Sith and it was to easy for Jedi to turn to the Dark side after losing a loved one. From what I understand it is okay to feel hatred but if you use the Force and feel hatred at the same time then you use the Dark Side and become addicted to it. So there was a good reason that the Jedi order needed to make some new rules but I do agree they were to extreme saying Jedi couldn't have any attachments at all.
Every time they said Skywalker I would watch Suzy closely to see if her light bulb would go off in the last episode. =*(
I believe Yoda uses a saber form that relies on the Jedi augmenting their movement with the force
There was a Droids cartoon in the 80s!
I just dont get the hate against the Chancellor. He seems like the least corrupt one in the Senate.
The clones are on our side. They have the plot armor to be better shots :D
3PO and R2 did have an animated tv series in the 80’s.
1:44:00 of course. A Sith who pretended to be a Jedi who left the Temple to be independent and maintain his Jedi stance. And since he's a Sith, he must have a Sith name. Aside from that, who knows if there's been another independent Jedi who didn't end up like Tyrannus. Although Qui-Gon Jinn could have been one, in addition to having lost his position on the Jedi Council...
As you heard plenty of other representatives & senators cheered the motion for Palpatine to get emergency powers. Even if Jar Jar was not there they would have found someone else to suggest it on the floor.
Omg I never noticed his shadow before.
You’re fine. Don’t be worried about not getting it right away. You’re new, and soaking things in.
Enjoy the experience!
:-)
This is just a taste of Yoda's true level of badassness. For more on him and his younger days/past, hunt down the novels written about him(unfortunately I don't remember the titles nor are they canon even though they should be). I've never understood why Phantom Menace gets so much hate, it's not that nad nor is Jar Jar.
I wonder if Steejo knows that there's a meaning behind every colored lightsaber and would Steejo tell Suzy the meaning behind every different colored lightsaber 🤔
There is NOT. There was in a couple VIDEO GAMES. The colors, other than red and white, have no meanings.
I'm sorry to tell you but that's not entirely true well yes white and red colored lightsabers do you have meaning behind them there's also other colors lightsabers that have meaning to them too like green means that you are very skilled with a lightsaber and purple means that you can use the dark side of the force and the good side of the force you can find this information in comic books end on RUclips videos@@xDarthSTYXx
Well you know from Episode I that Jar Jar was banished from the Gungan city. So having him as a representative is just another reason for the Gungans to get rid of him.
At this point he clearly was redeemed & in good standing with his people. Its because of him helping the Jedi that the Gungans & Nubians have better relations. That they now have a representative for their shared planet in the senate & not just a human Nubian is probably a big deal.
@@orphanedhanyou Yep, he was a "bombad" general.
Hello, don't know if Steejo knows, but there is an 80's animated series with C-3PO and R2-D2 as protagonists, i remember i saw some chapter on tv when i was a child, but don't really remember if it was a good show.
If you want this in videogames you have the jedi knight series, maybe battlefront, maybe republic commando. But in terms of the action, jedi outcast and jedi academy would be the best.
I wish they had made 5 of these prequel films instead of the 3. I feel the contrast between Anakin in the first film vs Anakin of this film is too stark, and I would have placed a second extra film between II and III. The story would have benefited from a slower development when Anakin is concerned. At least 4 movies.
Has Suzy seen The Matrix yet? Because that death stick scene had two actors from the Matrix as both that scene and the Matrix were filmed in Australia and they were Australian actors (Mouse and Lady in the Red Dress)
"rogue one" after episode 3
And now, I recommend that you watch all but the last two episodes of “Clone Wars” 😉
If you're looking for a show to comment on, Buffy the Vampire Slayer would be a great move.
Steejo's voice while narrating lol
I dont know if youll be able to read this but i would hope you guys will watch Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind
You need to also watch the Clone Wars tv show as well as it will fill on some of the details between episodes 2 & 3
I hope you will be covering both the Rogue One and Han Solo movies as well as the Clone Wars series
I dno if anyone said it, but i think the reason why they started from middle was coz back then it was cheapest one to make. So Lucas felt that technology wasn't far enough to start from 1-2-3 so he started from 4-5-6 and eventually got to make 1-2-3.
Stop with the stories lol that is not true in the slightest. The first movie was written with the idea as it would be a one off and not be successful.
@@nucl3arboNg Though, Lucas did assume it would bomb and be a one off, he did in fact have a template for 3 trilogies prior to making any of the films (son, father, and grandfather).
You do miss a lot because of all the talking.
The next one is my favourite and the score is so great and tragic...love it
1:35:45 Yoda speaks normal english grammar. wut?
I'll just say and recommend you watch the star wars TV series. You will not be disappointed. Start with Clone Wars animated movie and then the series.
