If you’re casual player, you should play regional. If you’re a competitive player, you should play more worldwide. if you play worldwide and are very dominant, you should be playing competitive lounge in MK Central.
As a casual player I definitely prefer regionals precisely because of the VR discrepancies. If I do poorly, I wont lose too much VR, but if I manage to beat much higher rated players, I'll get some good gains. Having to deal with less lag is also a nice bonus
I'm at 26300 VR atm and I've often been put with some people who have way higher VR than me in worldwides (Like some people in the 40k range, some 60k-70k, and occasionally a few people with or close to max VR), I actually do like this because they're the reason I gain a good amount for decent positions (I even get +2 or something in 7th as a consolation prize sometimes because of it lol)
Well i like regionals more because if i get 12th in a room full of people with over 15k vr i just dont lose any points and i get lots of points for first
@@eswatomo That's me with most of the WW lobbies I join with my VR in the 20k range and I come across mostly some people in the 40ks or something and occasionally encountering a few people with or close to max VR
just noticing the player country results on super bell subway and cheeseland, and it seems like instead of worldwide you found your way into a japanese regional
I personally prefer worldwides to regionals mostly because worldwide rooms are somewhat close to my skill level and plus in Australia where I’m from regionals aren’t very active and when they are, they usually have low vr and low skilled players (although it can be fun to destroy these low vr children)
I'm playing on regional because in worldwide EVERYONE is spamming there items so hard im losing so much vr And because I suck (and there's so many Japanese players)
Good video! I vastly prefer Regional lobbies. I'm a pretty casual Karter and don't want to just use a meta combo like most Worldwide lobbies. While Worldwide seems more high risk and reward, I really prefer the slower (yet more consistent) VR gains I can get from Regional rooms (though, usually can't get more than like 18 VR or so from even a 1st place win). I end up getting destroyed in Worldwide and my VR usually suffers for it. It just becomes more frustrating than fun.
Not bad at worldwide at 13k vr but I could be a lil more consistent vs Japanese players. But if I go on a losing streak I go down to regionals to re-up on my Vr
I have like 3000 VR, I've learned a lot thanks to you, JPG and Shortcat, but I prefer to play regionals. It's not just the lag in worldwide, but too many Japanese players is annoying, even if their VR matches mine more or less. Having the same skill level makes everything very competitive. Also, if I manage to beat someone with 60 000 VR in regionals, I get a good amount of VR. Greetings from Spain.
Im at 18k VR and worldwide puts me in rooms with mostly 10k VR. Most I can get from worldwide is like 18+ VR from a 1st place. Meanwhile a low placement takes away a lot of VR. Also, 99k VR players play regional cause worldwide matches them with other 99k players and they end up in rooms with a very low number of players.
Regional races are good only to get you more confident at the game. After losing a bunch of races on WW, just join in the Regional lobby for a couple races and then come back to WW.
I’m 1000 vr (new to online) but I’m not too bad in worldwide, obviously get smoked by the 20,000+vrs but I can easily go head to head with 10-15000vrs in ww
1st, you need: 2 consoles, the first console(with your original VR) and the second console with 1000VR 2nd: the second console join to a WW with VR low like 1000 or 1300 3rd: your original console join to the second console and the second console leaves the room 4th:grind VR like stupid and get VRs to 99.999 this trick is powerful note: people use this trick that they don't want you to know about thank you so much and your welcome
I prefer regional because it's a breath of fresh air from seeing nothing but Yoshi/peach/Daisy/peachette teddy buggy combo i see everytime I play worldwide also because it's less laggy and easier
No Mario Kart on the weekends hmm?/jk No but I watched that video and it’s clear that you need to play defensive and offensive at the right time which for more skilled players is easy. I can play defensive all day and still lose 😂😂 also it took me way too long to realize that your long sleeve was white, I don’t know how I was seeing light blue, I guess I like and wear light blue so much that my brain was like ‘yeah that’s really light blue’ 😂
Yea regionals I average podium but worldwide i average 3 4 5 on a good week …. Japan consistently whoops ass 😂😂😂 8k vr Japanese players will beat on you as bad as a 15K American player 😂😂😂😂 I’m 14.5 VR btw

Every time I hear the word regionals, I can’t help but think someone is about to recruit me to join the Glee Club

tbh i definitely prefer regionals but not necessarily because of reduced lag, it’s just funny wiping the floor with a load of 1000 vr players
You're cruel, didn't u know? Hahahah (i do it sometimes, ngl)

Me too g00mbaguy. Regionals, we can make the 1000 vr players cry. It may have just as much crap like worldwide but it has less lag.

just got your channel recommended for me and i really like your videos! really like your voice too my man
amazing video!! those two first place races were absolutely wild!
I prefer worldwide because In regional they are not people with similar vr as me and some regional don’t use the meta and random combos
I'm playing on regional because in worldwide EVERYONE is spamming there items so hard im losing so much vr

I frontran DS Mario Circuit in a regional room for my very first online race in this game and won. Thanks for carrying on the legacy ✊

Worldwide is just a better challenge yeah I suck and lose vr but it’s still better then regional
im glad to see some good races because you race really damn well but you just get unlucky😭
That cheese land was actually just "they couldnt handle my skill (cheese)"
That Cheeseland race was really satisfying

I Do regionals but i go out of my way to search 15k+ VR rooms. Those Rooms frontrun more and the amount of backed reds is reduced from my experience.
You should compare bagging with wiggler inkstrider with the fastest combo in the game
the regional races where you get an insane lead are always boring cause nothing happens, definitely prefer when you play in worldwides
I like regional, but i try to find ones with higher vr players. If its too easy i search again
I prefer regional because it's a breath of fresh air from seeing nothing but Yoshi/peach/Daisy/peachette teddy buggy combo i see everytime I play worldwide also because it's less laggy and easier
I play regional for the reduced lag, I can’t stand ww cuz red shells and green shells fly outta no where
Regionals are just way too easy. I can be piss drunk playing some awful inside drift combo and still win.
If that's how insufferable the luck-track picks are in Worldwides I can only imagine that Japanese Regionals are a pachinko parlor.
amazing vid c:
I prefer regionals bc it has less really good Japanese players and lag and it's makes me a little less ragey
