It’s funny how often I hear people say to streamers, “you’re the reason no one plays this game anymore!” after they sink someone (in a multiplayer pirate game, like c’mon, that’s the whole point of the game). When in reality, streamers usually have the exact opposite effect: people see how much fun this game can be and want to try to find some of that fun for themselves! Glad you’re back, my friend!

Had a similar situation with angry pirates. I was turning in loot while another ship was at the outpost. They decided to keg me and well that didnt end well for them. Sunk their ship and they yell reporting you as if I started the fight. Made my day.

This man made me love sea of thieves again, was so bored of the game back in season 8, didn’t play again until season 11 when I saw hitbo for the first time
I use to roll with a crew of guys who would server hop for steals. One night we got into a reaper alliance server doing fof. When we got to the fof it was a gally and sloop. We took them out and started loading up loot! Our driver calls out "incoming the rest of the server!" We look up and just see gally and sloop coming this way. 5 boats pissed and full sail coming our way. Cut the story short we ended up killing most of the ships but for a sloop that went around and collected any loot we couldn't and picked up the alliance members. At once point I boarder the sloop with 10 guys on it and ran around while they killed one another it was hilarious
People who play PVP games and expect to be left alone with PVE are silly people. It's all a part of the game folks.. Learn to deal with pirates like HitboTC instead of trash talking.
No they just dont play the game anymore and the game is dying right now its bleeding players hella fast. I love the PvP but cant get any of my friends to stay on the game because they get rekt.

You are making me fall in love with this game after doing the new player sour dance early on. I've now got Voicemod cracking Ron Burgandy clips and I get on just to prank folks (in good fun of course). If you ever see a lame sloop charging your way with Steve Carrell repeatedly screaming...don't be alarmed...it's just me. Followed up by dolphin sounds!
They are adults and willingly chose to play a pvp game and get upset when they get attacked or ambushed. If your blood pressure is raising over a video game its time to find another game or go do something else entirely lol The fact that people give over the top reactions like this have no one to blame but themselves cause people who are toxic or pvp usually like getting reactions like this cause its both funny and very memorable. Best thing you can do is mute yourself and give absolutely no reaction and move on.

I guess the important thing to remember is that the best mindset to keep when you get good loot is "I'm probably going to lose this, but that's ok." Will help soften the blow

I know this is literally the worst place for it but I need some advice, from anyone who has graduated or “succeeded in life”. How did you do it? More specifically how did you juggle your social life with your educational life? How can I keep in touch with old friends while trying to pursue a dream that I don’t even know yet? I just feel like I will lose connection with my close friends because we are too busy with school and trying to figure out who we are. Me and my friends have just finished middle school and are all going to different high schools, while some of us are going to the same school as other members of our friend group, most of us are split up. And I am worried that we will eventually just stop talking because we are too busy with everything else. Finally, what if I don’t succeed? How do I ensure that I life happily? What can I control in my life? What can’t I control? I just don’t feel prepared for anything.
Wow a lot to break down here. I am going to do my best to give you my thoughts. The most important thing you can do for yourself is to know who you are because the world needs who you were made to be. The world doesn't need a copy of someone else the world needs the real YOU. Sometimes that can take awhile for discovery. When it comes to friends I would say the most important thing to remember is friends are great but family is forever. My closest friendships in life are my brothers and sisters. Now sometimes friends can become family and when that happens its amazing. Last thought for you here is don't be afraid of failure. Success comes from learning from your failures. Never give up and never stop trying. There is a great book called "Failing Forward" that I would highly recommend reading.

the content drought is on them, they are too unimaginitive to have fun in a game, or they are too burnt on it and blaming it on the devs. But honestly how much content do the devs need to create to satisfy people who chose Sea of Thieves for their full time job. I am mad at streamers pooping on SoT, it's a great game and they have thousands a views and influence and they wanna bite the hand that feeds them? They need to grow up.

Sea of thieves is a strange game lol. Stealing from others is a part of the game but it also ruins the day of those who just want to play for fun. It makes the game unfun if you worked hard spending your only 2-3 hours of free time to play SoT and then someone comes at the end to steal all your work. Very discouraging especially when one cannot put in the same number of hours as those that steal from them. I think the game will be healthier if there is a way to balance stealing vs earning loot by ones own crew. Maybe something like weekly gold/rep caps for stolen loot. So that pirate don't only rely on stealing from others.

It's definitely not guaranteed. I've done like 15 black powder voyages and haven't gotten a single Athena keg
