Dover Drive is probably also called it because its an (d)over drive pedal. Seems to be a great sounding pedal, went ahead and bought one - apparently theres like 4 or 5 different version of it.
I rediscovered my Dover Drive recently. I needed a drive that could give me that violin sustained lead tone from a Fender Clean with only one stomp. A friend said you got to try the OC42 version. I was able to pick one up and love it even more. The other guitarist in the band tried it out on Tuesday, and then wanted to first Drove Drive that I had on the board he uses for practice.
