I honestly look at the things to make that are a bit out there (like your weird pumpkin trousers and this) more as moving art than clothing. Although I'm a strictly NO SEQUINS person, that doesn't mean i can't appreciate when someone absolutely kills it. Amazing, 10/10.
Unfortunately "art" often enough means "impractical" (easy to damage / hard to clean).
One rather bad example would probably be something "professional" I had seen once, where the dress incorporated a bunch of cords, BUT the designer wanted them to be bright yellow ... so some poor interns had to stay over night and use marker pens to "paint" those cords yellow and finish it for the show next day. Pretty unwashable because of that.
@@Muck006 - I saw the thing with the yellow cord, too and thought the designer was a selfish idiot wasting time, energy and material. As for regular clothes I don't like extravaganza. It's expensive and can often not be worn more than once. Thus, it's wasteful and I hate that.
But in this case the dress is pure fantasy, made and to be worn by just one person (though I wonder for which occasion). It does not have to be that practical. I believe it "dresses" and suits the soul before it does so for the body. Like, the art is uplifting.
I agree with the oc: while practical things make more sense I prefer watching the development of those insane projects like the pumpkin pants. And historical recreations, historically inspired and fantasy outfits. Watching that is so much fun while sewing normal clothes is rather boring.
@@saymyname2417 while I agree on the wastefulness of the cord dress, I really put this creation in another category.
It has brought so much joy and enjoyment to the watchers, a glance at the ecstatic comments makes it obvious to me that even if the material won't be worn out, it's still not wasteful.
@@svenjaj.3520 - Oh, I don't consider this creation wasteful at all! The cord thing is absolute nonsense but this dragon slayer dress is awesome in many ways and I love watching videos where fantastic clothes are created. They are inspiring and fuel the own fantasy. Sorry for the confusion 😅!
@@saymyname2417 sorry, I must have misread you, I'm glad you too enjoy this wonder ☺️
This is amazing! Only you could have made this dress. I would normally dislike any embellishment on the breast area, but it's almost like this costume forgot it was a dress, and being a dragon became more important to it - it just works!
I agree! It almost looks like the front panel is just the face of the dragon skinned & turned into an armour piece as opposed to being like "look! BOOBS!"
WOW. This is absolutely INCREDIBLE. The amount of detail and artistry in this dress makes it more a work of art than a piece of clothing.
WOW this is a Million dollar dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The creativity and skill are exceptional xxxxxxxxxxx
Every other life-form at the Wizard's and Dragon's ball is going to be green with envy.
Just when I think you can't create anything more awesome.....YOU DO! This is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!
There's nothing like making what's in one's head come to life as a one of a kind. BRAVO!!!!!
The eyes were the right choice. They make this dress even more incredible. 😍
This is incredible! I love the little green gems that match the eyes, it’s just enough color! I adore the back and breast plates. I wish I could look at this in person. The textures and details are so rich, you just can’t soak it in the same through media. Seriously, job well done!
This gown is absolutely gorgeous. It's a work of art. I could easily see this being worn on a fantasy TV show; it looks like something that Danerys Targerean might wear before going into battle. Is it weird? Maybe. But it is also breathtakingly beautiful.
The creativity! The skill! The work ethic!!
I saved tv dinner trays for beading trays. They work perfectly.
Or condiment cups with lids... They're great for storage and when beading, arrange the open cups in a small box.
After all, a girl has to eat! 💕🌞🌵😷
This is not just a dress, it's a wearable piece of art! BEAUTIFUL!!!
You know it's a good project when seeing how it was made makes you love it so much more.
Oh. My. Goddess! G.R.R.M. would wear this dress! Chefs kiss! W.o.W.!!
The dress is GLORIOUS 😍
I'm always so happy on Angela's upload days
I didn't think that you could better the Halloween outfit that you filmed in the pumpkin patch. You did, a lot of thought has gone into it and determination. Thank you for showing us.
Birdy
PERFECT, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DRESS!
Wow! An opera trick for a gown like this is to make the bodice and skirt separate, then join them at the waist with buttons and elastic.
Amazing, epic, typical day for Angela, lovely work, thank you for brightening our lives
Honestly, this particular project is my favorite of all of your projects I've seen. Love your work and imagination.
this dress is so fudging awesome omg
I love the eyes and the placement, it looks like you've slayed a dragon and made a dress from its head! Again.. epic! 👌🏽
This dress is a work of Art! I always love to see when you embellish a dress or whatever you're working on because Madam you take it to the next level. I hardly ever comment but this dress needs to be seen.
Okay hear me out… a gold “dragon hoard” cape to go over it
Oooo I love that idea
You sew wonderful things with nightmarish slippy and fraying fabrics. Such skill and imagination. I love this.
How could anyone not like this incredible dress! It is quite simply stunning, visually & in your construction. It's a tour de force of sewing Angela & possibly the most beautiful dress you have made.
That dress is awesome. A very impressive dress. Congratulations.
The way this dress turned out is amazing! The eyes were such a good choice to add to it and it’s almost as if you are the dragon! Also reminds me of Toothless which I this is amazing! The inserting of the scales was such a cool and interesting treatment! Worth the wait for sure!
This dress is brilliant. Just a wonderful dress.
This dress is absolutely insane! I hope you are able to wear it to a ball or masquerade or wherever you wish
Keeping the eyes was a wise choice. They really add a lot to the final dress. I love all of the textures and organic feel.
A dragon dress! I totally love this....I also really like the chemise.
Magnificent! Creating a dragon dress using fire….how perfect. This is a work of art not a dress.
That’s an amazing dress, created with SO MANY amazing fabrics and techniques.
Thank you
I rarely comment, but I just wanna say how freaking beautiful this is!!!! The more i stare at the finish product, the more I’m just mesmerized!!!!
Wowsa! The Delight is in the Details!!! One of your best creations. The texture gives it grandeur and the embellishments really dazzle. Have you ever thought of doing a video on how you store, clean and maintain your costumes?
Fabulous. And the touches of green beads is inspired.
Taking the time to do the repetitive and tedious details ALWAYS pays off. Also, to help prevent the thread from catching on everything, get a piece of poster board to put under where your thread mostly is, and move it inward as you sew. every inch or three.
This is so freaking cool.
I kind of love the placement of the eyes. It isn't every day that a creep comes eye to eye with a dragon when they're looking where they shouldn't.
Making a dragon look organic and natural is marvelous.
This dragon dress is outstanding, you have outdone yourself Angela. It's beautiful. I could so see this garment in a Fantasy TV show.
This is the most gloriously textured garment! I wish I could admire it in person in order to really examine the construction. Gorgeous work, Angela!
Oh my gosh…absolutely stunning!
Amazing. the imagination and creativity is way over the top but the skill set to put it together is way beyond.
This piece is straight off of a runway! The complex knowledge and use of texture, tone, and composition rivals high-fashion lines. Not only the result but the process also shows such skill, passion, patience, and inspiration. Both you and this dress are once in a lifetime. Every time you post, I'm blown away and so glad that you share your process and works with the world. Thank you!! Xx
I love seeing new videos from you. No matter how extra, no matter the amount (and pounds) of embellishments, no matter what wild and immense fabric choices and mixes you use, your projects never look "too much". It takes a good eye and shows not only how skilled you are, but that you know your fabrics and materials.
Take a bow Angela
It's a georeous dress 😍
This should be in a museum. Gorgeous
My favorite so far! Awesome!!!😁
I'm so happy hearing you speak positively about a project. They all look great to us but that's because we are not skilled like you. I just feel that I get such in depth and expert explanation from you. And I'm enjoying that you're enjoying it.
So beautiful! AND I love that you have a separate embellished shirt which is suitable for more casual outfits. I would wear it with plain trousers or jeans literally EVERYWHERE 😁 life is short, gonna wear sequins and beads any day if I have the mood. Your work inspired me so much, I will embellish my current project too!😘
Absolutely. Amazing.
I also think the eye placement works well. I too would have been unsure about placing them in the bust region, but with this project it works well.
Angela, your talent is astounding! Really cool costume!
That dress is truly incredible!
The amount of work that went into this is seriously impressive and the end result is so gorgeous!!
Wow!!! How stunning!!!
Stunning. Your creativity just keeps developing... always inspiring.
Incredibly artistic and original. The crafty green eyes break up the greys/black beading + lace in a marvellous way -- I adore this costume, and would love to see photographs of you modeling this garment! ✨ Well worth the time embellishing this one-of-a-kind creation, Angela. Beautiful! ❤
I agree with one of the people commenting below: this gown is a work of art; one of a kind and marvelous!!!!
I am always impressed. This is awesome.
This is perfect! Make it a friend, yes!!!!!
This is a true work of art, this dress is incredible
A feast for the eyes, stunning creativity Angela
I love this gown. Absolutely gorgeous and creative. Truly a work of art
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!!!!! This is a true work of wearable art! Incredible!! All your work definitely paid off, Angela! 😱😍
I have been watching you for a number of years now and your talent never ceases to amaze me.
Wow… Just WOW!
So many details, and so much work.
Thanks for posting
I love your imagination!
i'm gobsmacked--this is wearable art. it's a museum piece, and it's gorgeous. i love every single thing about it--every single design choice you made. it. is. amazing.
I like the dress. I like just as much how happy you are with it.
Your dragon dress is STUNNING, AMAZING, and so very creative. The eyes at the top are questionably placed at first view, but then as you continue to look you see that those eyes make the front of the dress really seem like a dragon's face and they are exactly where they need to be. I would make the eyes in other spots on the dress look more like colorful jewels, but it's YOUR dress. Again, stunning work.
What an incredible dress. I LOVE it.
amazing, great to see you back where you truely shine - in a space where you can use every ounce of your creativity and imagination
Wow WoW WOW! No words..you've truly outdone yourself!
I'm totally in love with this dress
The mount of detail you have in this dress is absolutely amazing!!! Very unusual and very unique 😊
I think you’ve finally reached peak sparkle! Also, I want to see it on you!!
Every time I watch one of your videos I want to take a sewing class!! 🖤
This is fabulous! Those eyes are incredible!!
Omg, Angela you have absolutely out done yourself on this project. It absolutely amazing.! ❤ Your ability to stay patient enough to spend hours beading everything, blows my mind.
This is insanely awesome! The chemise is impressive enough on its own! I love the little splashes of the green gems.
@@twinnish and it looks so good on her!
I would love something like this for my wedding! Definitely my weird dream dress for my wedding so beautiful!
Absolutely LOVE ❤️ this! Wish we could see it on you
this is absolutely incredible!
I love the eyes! Amazing dress all round.
this is so cool! I love it also my brain said, wouldn't the polyester smell like burn.....ing, oh matches the theme of the dress, just adds to the story.
It looks fantastic. So much work clearly but the result is stunning.
I have loved a car majority of your projects, and this is my new favorite. I have never regretted subscribing to your channel, you are quality.
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen!!! 💚🖤
Wow! Just...wow!!
It looks amazing. Looks like it made from the skins of dead dragons that you slayed. It would make a killer outfit on any dragon themed show for a queen or something!!
Tracing paper is a great way to sew fake leather/stretch vinyl. I make drag queen dance costumes and work almost exclusively with stretch vinyl (pray for me), and I use baby powder! I dip my finger in a bowl of powder then trace the sections I’m about to sew and the silicon helps the presser foot glide over it!
Jeeezzzzz Angela you've really outdone yourself. It looks incredible!!
This is an amazing dress! Honestly, it is more of a work of art. It would not have been out of place coming down the red carpet at a fashion show.
oh HELL yeah, that looks amazing oh my gosh I love it so much!!! Fricking gorgeous sequin wizardry, this dress is simply incredible!!!
🤯😱 Angela! IT’S GORGEOUS!!!! 😍 I’m GOBSMACKED!
High fantasy at it's finest! Well done 👏
This is basically my dream dress 😊
