Kendra was absolutely the perfect partner for her. I love how she went back to her original offer (which was worse for the shark) which rarely if ever happens on Shark Tank. Kendra really really liked that woman.

If you watch the beginning of the pitch you can see Kendra swiveling in her chair as she was giving her presentation, probably a way to alleviate the extreme excitement that she was feeling. A suave and business savvy entrepreneur would’ve picked up on that, but I doubt that she did. In any case def made the right decision.
I wouldn’t go that far because nice quickly faded when she upped her offer 200k more….you can see her looking down and saying “no”. 500k is a ton of money and that will always have the last say despite of how much somebody likes you, which in that case Kendra really really liked her and her product.

Shes not telling the whole story. I deal with manufacturers on various levels, if they are difficult with you, its usually because you are a difficult person to deal with or they just dont like you personally. Thats the entrepreneurs fault for not networking properly.

No it's just when she saw the girl didn't like giving up 20% she wanted to be her partner and still keep her 10% at any cost. They were both good deal because frankly two sharks would be better than one. But as soon as Kendra saw she didn't like giving up 20% she kicked Barb to the curb. It was actually a very nice thing for Kendra to do and showed just how much she liked her.
I’m so happy for this person. To work so hard to build your business and then have all the sharks complimenting you and saying they were impressed. I got tears in my eyes thinking about how good that must feel for her.

I really don’t like this business model, and everyone is doing it lately. They buy a Chinese product and “private label” aka design a label brand. Then ship it as their own. Kinda shady business practice imo.

You do know that there are only a few laptop manufacturers in the world and they're making laptops for every brand...yes? All they do is change the plastics on the outside to the buyer's wishes and label. It's how business is done and HAS BEEN done for a very, very long time. Catch up.
@@molonlabe9602 while yes, there are only a handful of ODM manufacturers, mostly based in Taiwan, rebranding laptop vendors are a different thing to drop shipping clothing. There's only two bin options for CPU's, GPU's, etc...

1) lowered her original offer after hearing another who offered less
2) couldn’t do basic math (500K for 10% and no to 350 for 10%)

She already mentioned her parents are entrepreneurs, there is no way in hell she didn't get connections, fundings, tips and manpower from her parents. But nevertheless, she did great in generating such huge numbers, from her parent's help of course
Yeah. This is the kind of thing you can't really scale with a few hundred dollars. That gets you the design samples and that's about it. It would take tens of thousands and a lot of risk to even try this.
There is so many red flags in the way she grew this business. How come she started with only $300 dollars, she had and still is having issues with the manufacturing, only getting 5% back but her business has made millions of dollars thus far.
She wouldn't be there if she didn't need an experienced business partner. They knew the money would be mainly be used for thr red flags (the clog in inventory/manufacturing). Also just wondering, why is starting a business with $300 a red flag? There's no perfect formula to start a business (yes there are strategies that help) but being able to start a business that generates millions in revenue from 300 doesn't sound like a bad thing, instead all the more impressive

what's interesting is how some women are better at reading body language. I didn't get that sense at all the offer for 20% was making feel sick based on how her facial reaction. I just figured she was negotiation for a better deal like most entrepreneurs do.

In this case, it was blatantly obvious that the girl hated the deals she was getting. You did not have to be female to notice
That being said females are biologically better at reading covert communication. They can read subtle cues in body language, words, phrasing, tone and tell how you feel. Being the weaker sex, they had to for survival purposes, among other reasons.
What people call female intuition is really just an enhanced ability to read body language and decipher the situation, better than males.

It's not you lol. I could see myself buying several pairs of underwear a month for a short period only if I were completely revamping my wardrobe for some reason, but even then wouldn't turn to a subscription service for that. Maybe her schtick was that people would jut pay $20 once for 4 pairs, then cancel afterward. Watching this show has made me realize that there are huge markets for way more useless things (to me at least) than I ever thought possible.
