This was bought to replace an old Lenovo tablet which was essentially too sluggish to cope with modern websites. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxz4qYZoyAOb_hq_UbaKI6AsZX0FnoFm-U This tablet is fast, has a very clear display with built in optional eye comfort shield, great sound with Dolby Atmos, split screen option and numerous tweaks that I've not yet explored. I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it
Perfekt Video. Helped me to repair the tablet. Usb connector Was broken. And the glue that holds the Display seems to hold the Display again. No need to replace it.
Read this please, before open it!! Its important (thats going wrong with my repair of the SM-T510) that you NOT use something sharp/card at the BOTTOM of the screen. I damaged the cable that control the touchscreen. The screen go’s on, but the screen won’t react at you touch. This i want to share with you.

@@Peppasteppah Nothing wrong with my battery now. I was just curious how much trouble it was to replace the battery in my new tablet. It's more than I want to take on, so I will take it somewhere when the time comes. I understand the batteries last two or three years, depending on usage.
@@mso4433 my dog wet my daughter's galaxy tab, so I was getting all kinds of charging error problems took it to a shop, the "professional" told me they cannot be taken apart. He offered to throw it in the garbage for me. RUclips to the rescue. I'm now a professional better than a professional shop lol
@@ricolaw2571 Lol. Well, it was a learning experience for you. It seems to just take a lot of care and patience, which I don't have anymore. If I can't find a shop that will do it for me when the time comes, I'll transfer the contents to a new Tab A and take a hammer to my old one. I don't like that idea but we all have to do stuff we don't like. Hope your new battery has a long life.

good morning or afternoon :) - i followed your instructions so thank you very much. the only problem is that when i now try the bluetooth on the tablet the range is much shorter than before. when i try it on my phone, everything is fine. could you advise on what i can check - is there a sensor or an antenna that i can fix inside the tablet? thanks a lot
Nice video (nice nail polish too😃🌹) when you took the logic board perimeter screws out, after removing the screen, were the screws all the same size? Also, does the lcd/digitizer ribbon cable connect to the logic board (screen back side) or is a longer one that goes thru a hole, then to the back of the logic board? Thank you 🌹🤓❤

My lcd screens adhesive came out somehow but when I just put the screen back to its position it is blank how can I fix it or do I need technician help to do so?

I got the screen of the tablet. Now I try to replace the charging port (received a new one today). Can I power up the tablet without a screen being connected to the tablet? I've connected it to my surface laptop, should I see something on the back of the tablet like a led ligt coloring as a charging indicator?
What Happens If You Remove the Touchscreen Digitizer While the Tablet is Still Turned On? I'm replacing an unresponsive touchscreen digitizer so I am unable to power down the unit.

I don't like the direction Samsung have gone with the construction of this tablet. To have to remove the screen before you can even access the battery for example... it seems a poor choice. Great tear down though!
Yeah me neither but battery should last at least 12 months after that amount of time this device will become obsolete new android version will be out and this will be considered old technology just like all cell phones, TVs, computers, and most electronic devices, sad but this is a fact about modern tech, I remember buying a top of the line laptop in the windows vista era to find out 2yrs later that it couldn't even be upgraded to windows 7 still works but kinda obsolete for today's standards. That's why your best buying what suits your needs for the time being, no matter how good the product is 2yrs is usually the max before it's considered obsolete, I'm surprised tech stores haven't started leasing programs for tech devices just like cars

I agree, I saw another video which i think was an older version of this tablet and it was much easier to access the battery. Really want to find a good alternative to an iPad with something i can replace the battery on. So frustrating!

Did you pry at the gap between the screen and the frame?
Same here. Have been struggling for days. No way it opens so easily and you can so easily get a pry tool under the screen to lift it out.

@@dutcharjo It's not too bad. You need heat and a suction cup to lift the screen slightly. I find the middle of the side the easiest place to get it started. Also be careful with the pick at the bottom of the screen as there is some tape stuck to a ribbon cable and can be easily damaged which no one seems to show...
@@Selffix88 in the video it is hard to see where exactly you put the opening tool. Is there any change to post a picture of the tablet with the opening tool from the side of the tablet?. And is it possible to only replace the digitizer? Or are lcd and digitizer one part? The local repairshop says it is 1 part and only replacing the digitizer can only be done "by the chinese". Is the opening tool between the screen and the frame (orange marked on the image below) or is it between the screen and the frame on the side (red marked on the image):

Attempted it... and the screen Cracked lol.... there go the tablet Screen... I think Samsung did this so that DIY people won''t attepmt it successfully and pushed the work to the professional.

@@Selffix88 do you replace the digitizer and LCD is one component? I have a pretty badly cracked up screen and I don't know if I should even try and get the glass separated from the LCD or just buy the entire sub assembly
Also mine seems to look a little different it looks like I have to come straight down to separate the two pieces that in from the side unless I'm blind LOL

for me what actually happened is the display somehow broke under the glass while the front glass is still 100% intact. i was only able to get the glass off but in the process I tore the digitizer so I need a whole replacement. I now know I need to get between the frame and the display
It's much easier to replace the entire display assembly as one unit because of how they are fused together.

Exactly not even a thermal pad inside and the back cover is aluminum. Samsung should really put a vapor chamber or heat pipe in these tablets because they do overheat while gaming
As someone else stated here, I'm not very happy with the design. I'm very unhappy with the durability. I bought one of these for my bed bound husband less than 60 days ago. He took great care with it. While using it one day it slipped off the wedge pillow stand and fell forward hitting his face... and that impact actually broke the screen. As I peeled the velcro off from the back of the unit (he tried using velcro to attach it to the pillow stand) the act of peeling the velcro adhesive off was hard, but I didn't drop/bump, etc.. the tablet, the screen damage worsened. I could try returning it but from the apparent damage they'd say it was dropped. Which it never was. Just a very flimsey design.
