i like that the manga kept the fusion power of zamasu realistic because zamasu was signfiically weaker than black resulting in an inbalanced fusion just slightly more powerful than black but nothing off the charts
Shows how the manga was more true to Toriyama's notes. Merged Zamasu wasn't originally meant to be that powerful, but I guess Toei buffed him up so we get Vegito, who wasn't really meant to be in this arc.
Zamasu struggling against goku shows that his fusion wasn't all that powerful once again if immortality wasn't a thing Zamasu would have been dead after this

Zamasu's fighting perfected ssj blue goku perfected blue is the equivalent of kioken times 20 in the anime goku kicked zamasu's butt with just regular kioken blue with no arms so zamasu compared to goku is a lot stronger than in the anime not counting the purple arm
not a nerf he is supposed to be on that level. remember when the first time potara has introduced. they said if you are not close on power fusion will be weak and thats the case immortal zamasu was too weak for goku black and fusion ended up being perfect blue level instead of being rival to vegito
