  • Free College While In The Military
    - On a scale of 1 to 10. 1 Being plenty of free time and flexibility and 10 being little to none. You don't have a choice you should plan and most likely will get close to a 10. Imagine, if military gave everyone plenty of free time and flexibility. See what I mean?
    - If you're going in for degree WITHIN the military, don't plan for the worst and hustle your butt off to make with what you got. Maybe at best associates from a military friendly university. (Basic uni)
    - Best Education will happen OUTSIDE the military.
    - While you're in, the colleges you'll have available to you aren't name brand and as such you get a watered down education and experience.
I want to make that clear.
The reason why Ivy leagues cost hundreds of thousands is the name, experience and education.
The reason why military universities is FREE is because it doesn't cost that much, as such the reputation, experience and education equates.
    Consider that. Hope that helps.

I know this doesn’t have a lot of views. For any one thinking about joining the military -
Rewatch this a few times. This is the most quick and truthful explanation you’ll find

You can do online classes from almost any college. Some are more flexible than others. Tuition assistance doesn't touch your GI Bill. Get the most you can while you're in.

TA gives you $750 per credit. I graduated with UMGC, very accredited. I’m active duty. Took me 6 years.

I used my G.I. Bill after I got out for an associate's and Bachelor but recall at least one-quarter of each where I had to pay out of pocket.

Is there a list of the colleges somewhere that I can read? I was thinking about going to acting/drama school after my contract and thought it didn't matter what school I chose.

All of the college courses I took in the military did NOT mean anything outside of the military. The civilian world did not recognize them.

Should I just go to community college instead then? Cause I want a free education you feel me, so I thought going to the marines should pay for that? Or does it just give you a separate education that means nothing?

I’m in a high school that gets me my associates while attending “highschool” because they do college courses…What I’m asking is if I join the army and after that what can I do? 🤷‍♀️

So if I end up getting close to getting my associates/bachelors but my service is up, do I “waste” my gi bill on the year or two that i need, or can i save it??

    • @MrYoonKim
      @MrYoonKim  10 месяцев назад

Gi bill is good for 36 months. However much you use is up to you. If you get out with associates or bachelor's. You can use it to fulfill bachelor's or start your masters or pursue another degree

you have to be in longer to have the same benefits as active duty like the gi bill. u prolly still get tuition assistance tho and colleges help you bc you’re in the military
