- A (not nice) little cover of the title song of the well known game M.U.L.E., created by Roy Glover. This is actually my first finished song for any vintage machine. It might sound janky in some places, because I don't know how to do triplets in FamiTracker.
Oscilloscope visuals created with corrscope.

That's better than the NES official but it is still possible to use the pcm sample/DMC to have a sawtooth wave like the c64.
if you didnt want to use the dmc, you could layer the second pulse channel + triangle channel to make it sound more sawtooth like
@@PixelGridArray you can if you really try hard (but it takes quite a bit of CPU time)
@@PixelGridArray You can write directly to the DAC. If you feed a sample of all 1s, you get a constant ramp up. You can then write 0 to the DAC and it will make the sawtooth shape.
I needed this
Here ya go
MULE was one of my favorite games even though I never understood how to play it. lol
I've only heard this in that one 8bitguy video, sounds good in NES and C64
Use the pulse2 channel to make that sawtooth-like bassline, as well as the volume decrease
neat
How did you made the Oscilloscope View?
I exported the individual stems from FamiTracker and put them in corrscope. But remember, this was when I didn't have as much experience as I have today, so nowadays I'd still use corrscope, but record the audio from NSFplay and edit it (i.e. amplify and apply fadeout) in Audacity.
Not saying you're bad at making music, but the C64 makes better music, since the audio channels can switch between types of waves, so I prefer it over the NES.
I completely agree; the SID just takes more practise to master and there aren't that many easy to use tools available for it (moreso when you look at the mobile app landscape).
But to be honest, I've come a long way since the upload of this video; the only things missing are actually good tracks from me.
many notes, cutoffs are wrong! and wrong beat, wrong timing of notes!
Yeah; but to my defense I have to say it was my first cover that I ever made. Thanks for the feedback tho :)
@@jaezu SSorry, that comment was written when I was angry about something else. And it's actually pretty cool!
Ntsc?
Yup
It was better at c64
I know; this cover is very old and utterly shit
@@jaezu Yes but its not that bad its ok
