Thanks Matt. Was using calculated column or table prior to make a group or bin. I did see the similar function available in Tableau and wonder if the same available in PBi. This definitely solves the issue.

How do you do binning for a measure. Such as total sales.

Matthew, I have the 3DBI extension for making a 3D warehouse visual from Sketchup. Using my Excel data, I'm trying to find a way to associate a column of part numbers (shown as bins in the model) with the rack number (shown as groups of shelves in the model) so that a part number selection will show both the bin as well as the rack/shelf it sits on. Is there a way to display the rack and the bin together in the model when selecting the bin part number from the table list?

Nice video Matt, thanks for sharing. Useful as a starting BI learner because I know nothing about DAX. And so, apparently, I don't need to.

Write dax measure (switch statement) or ask for a column

Bad it's not possible to make bins from measure values. Mandatory to have a column..

I don't see ANY application to binning. It is difficult for me to imagine a satisfied customer with data for the age of 54.20 or 68.40 years. Loool. Measures ROX!
