I will say that a good chunk of that exaggerated space is coming from the plug ins “wider” and TAL chorus. Both are actually free :) Wider is pretty clean while TAL has a certain spice to it that’s tasty. I learned mixing rock so I actually mix this not too differently than one might mix a rock track. Nollys masterclass was super helpful for me.

I use Valhalla vintage, room and shimmer. Also use slate digital verb suite classics the BM7 unit specifically. For this one my vocal chain was Shure SM7b directly into a Scarlett Waves SSL for eq and light compression CLA76 CLA La2a Fab filter pro q for some cleanup eq. SLATE VMR with that blue eq that’s extremely sensitive. Very light bump in the treble with that. Fab filter D-esser Decapitor R Vox Then that goes to my FX chain which has kind of a lot of stuff. Micro shift for widening Valhalla delay for a mono delay H delay for a ping pong delay Slates BM7 on a plate setting Valhalla vintage verb on a big hall setting for the verses There’s a double track mixed -7db for some words of the chorus. That is bused to a bus with fab filter pro q for some light shaping Then l1 limiter to pin things just a little bit.
