- Follow along as I replace the spark plugs on a 3rd gen Toyota Tacoma with the 3.5L 2GR-FKS V6 engine. The truck is a 2021.
OEM Spark plug P/N is 90919-01263.
Ok driver side convinced me to go to my local Toyota mechanic,,lol,,nice description of process.
Nice! Straight to the point.
I am not looking forward to this maintenance item.
Well the driver side looks like a PITA and tight like a figured, got my plugs in the mail today and will give it a whirl.
Good luck! It’s really not that bad - you’ll get it done. Make sure the engine is cold so you don’t burn your hands 😆
Do you need a gasket? of it intake manifold? the manual said it has to be replaced?
I didn’t remove the intake manifold
Good //Good //Good
Good video, but fast. Next time, explain the places slowly. Do you have a replacement rear brake shoe for a 22 6-cylinder Tacoma? Can you send it to me? Thank you.
I don’t have that specific video. I try to be somewhat brief in my videos. I’ll try to slow down a bit on the next one 😀
I thought the are supposed to be gapped at 0.044?
The OEM plugs should be gapped at .032”. Maybe other brands that fit are gapped at .044”
How long did it take to do this job?
If I wasn’t fidgeting with my phone to record this, probably an hour
Why would this cost $858 at a dealership?
Environmental fees and shop fees add up 😂
Because it’s the dealership.😮
Take the intake manifold off that method hes doing is a bitch its easier by taking the manifold off trust me ive done this before
I try to remove the least amount of items. Does removing the manifold require a gasket replacement?
@@realtoyotology no
They are stuck on the manifold really well do not remove any hoses from the the throttle just unscrew the 4 bolts off and push it to the side I found removing the manifold off is more time consuming but it's alot easier getting to the spark plugs
