Right? I played about 7 races before I decided it was too annoying. Spamming attacks and I can’t use anything or else it would disappear. An entire Mephiles lobby was nightmare fuel.
I've gotten very used to dealing with Mephiles now. Know how to dodge his moves. If you're hit, be smart in what item you have to sacrifice. The only issue is right now when EVERYONE is using Mephiles. Having to deal with multiple is just rough.
@Jaquan Kelsor what bothers me is Mephiles stalking shade attack. There are times when I'm 95% sure I sidestepped away from it and it still hits me. It's so weird.
WindBlue, Mephiles’ attacks feel kinda lackluster due to them not dealing any initial damage on hit, and trying to get four stacks of clones on opponents to actually deal damage is honestly straight up impossible. Plus, opponents are hardly slowed down at all when hit. I’ve already had a several races with Mephiles where opponents I’ve hit just keep racing ahead of me like the attack didn’t even phase them… Mephiles doesn’t just need a buff, he needs a rework.
Maybe because item are stack so if it do a lot of slowdown spamming his item would really powerful and it eat your new item used, but like you say doing no damage at all isnt really reliable much especially when you have match up with super form runner that you cant drain their ring to avoid the boost.

It’s amazing how Sega won’t put Mephiles in another main line Sonic game but are fine with putting him in mobile games. I am aware he appeared in Sonic 06 which is the second worst Sonic game, but I think they can just retcon him and Iblis, I mean they did it with Silver, Blaze, and Eggman Nega.

For those having issues facing him, if you have either Werehog or Infinite, you can counter him.

Infinite is a nice counter to Mephiles I think. As well as Werehog. The key is to stop him from using items before he can stop you.
