I like how they made leshy say the hateful part because I think all the others were doing it out Of cruelty and But he is doing it because he felt betrayed by the one who waits
Yeah Leshy besides Shamura doesn't seem to hate Narinder (like Narinder says Shamura is stupid after you kill them, but he doesn't do that when you kill Leshy, it's just good job you did that quickly, now go kill my other siblings)
Like he even calls Narinder after you get him in uur cult dear brother Narinder the same way he calls Heket dearest sister.
And in the newest update (spoilers) he said he didn't even know what Narinder and Shamura were doing, like he always said he loves chaos. Narinder probably even wanted Leshy on his side in the siblings fight but probably didn't do it because Leshy,s chaotic nature is to big of a wild cart.
@@juliaboskamp9666 yeah I also think that and I’m not sure if I’m getting the Lore right because I seem to remember they used the parts as sacrifices To make the chains that held Narender but also that he injured them so maybe they use the parts That was removed from their bodies as sacrifices to make the chains, but anyway point is, I think Narender may chosen to take Leshy‘s in order to spare him from the site of what he was about to do to the others
@@kidfrenzy2273 it maybe that you get it wrong because in my gameplay the bishops have never told they used parts of themselves to lock Narinder up.
It sounded with the newest update the bishops started a war on Narinder's cult because Shamura was scared he would let the starve and rot away (because they are god they don't need to eat they live of their followers loyalty), because Narinder was bringing people back from the dead and their followers went to him. (This part is full of theorizing because they didn't really told this) And Narinder was maybe reacting in a panic state and hurted his siblings without meaning it, proving to Shamura that Narinder would let them die, locking him up and probably letting Narinder grow bitter in the time he was all alone (we don't exactly know how much time between him getting locked up and Shamura giving him Baal and Aym was).
The game tries it's best to show their are no good guys, but if you lock at it, the blame lies mainly with Shamura (and they know this, they said this to the lamb and said they are supper guilty), they have encouraged him probably because they wanted to be a good siblings and to nurtur his will to learn (this maybe because they are the god of wisdom as well as war so they loved Narinder for wanting to learn), but because of that they ignored Narinder was breaking the laws of nature and neglecting their other siblings, making Heket probably recent their big brother and Kallamar fear what his little brother would become.
I personaly think we should have at least one more bishops story line were Narinder and his siblings say sorry to eachother, Narinder for hurting them, Shamura for neglecting them all in some form, they can all end up crying in a family hug and get therapy (just to at least get a somewhere less empty ending)
@@juliaboskamp9666 yeah, I definitely want another bishop storyline where they restored the lost senses as well because all I do feel like it’d be appropriate to leave some scars I think she should be able to see and Shimada should have her brain not only be covered by a spiderweb or bandages
The other two seem functional, so I don’t really know what to say about them, but whatever problem they’re still having should be relieved a bit maybe only partially you know since like I’d be OK if leshy had bad eyesight, but still see things
The way I understand it is that even though the other bishops could grant the opposite of their domain, (choas could grant safe travels, famine could grant a good harvest, pestilence could grant good health, war could grant knowledge... for some reason, but whatever.)
The one who waits (death) couldn't, because death shouldn't change, but he wanted to, so he started studying how to bring followers back to life and eventually learned how to, which lead to followers going to him instead, like I think someone already said here.
The other's where worried, so they all decided to attack him (mostly Shamura and Heket. Kallamar just went along with them all cause he's a coward, he says so himself. And Leshy wasn't really paying attention from the sounds of it.) Although Shamura didn't really WANT to, they thought it was best and were scared of what would happen if they didn't, (doesn't mean they were right or "good" before anyone gets pissy.)
When the bishops attacked, Narinder ended up giving them their injuries when he fought back. Ripping out Leshy's eye, tearing out Heket's throat, ripping off Kallamar's ear, and splitting Shamura's skull, the injuries could never heal because they where induced by a God.
Shamura didn't want Narinder to be lonely, so they ended up giving him Aym and Baal after taking them from their mother. (I think their mother willing gave them up but didn't really want to. She's that cat merchant, can't remember her name.)
Shamura is the oldest and the most wise, which is why the other bishops listen to them so much. then Heket, who ended up kind of stepping up to lead Kallamar and Leshy after Shamura's very debilitating injury. Then Narinder, who was the strongest, Kallamar next, and Leshy is the youngest. You can tell because in their "bishop forms," Shamura has the most eyes, Heket has four, Narinder keeps his three eyes even in his follwer form, Kallamar always had/has two eyes and Leshy has one... or would have one.... if his eye wasn't ripped out. (He only had one as he was completely blind after his "eye" was ripped out, not "eyes." The game repeatedly says "eye, " so don't try it. I finished the whole game four days ago, I remember.)
None of the siblings really quote unquote "wanted" to lock Narinder away.
I do kinda remember someone saying something about the bishops using their "Artifacts" to lock The One Who Waits away in game, though. They may have ended up using them, might not have been thier original plan. The injuries were definitely not planned or self-induced.

Except Mufasa was innocent and Narinder was directly responsible for the wounds seen on the other 4

Narinder’s face breaks my heart but since they already have bandages on them, Narinder mostly likely attacked them.
They actually attacked first. Lore wise they are all siblings and narinder kept getting stronger so the other 3 decided to seal him as they began to fear him.
@josephadams1686 That's what happened? I've seen art where Narinder attacked them first and I assumed that's what happened. I haven't finished playing the game.
Narinder wanted to change up how death worked evolve in some way but you can't really change the nature of death without serious consequences, Shamura was the one who gave him the advice that made him decide to do such. She regrets this and in order to stop him her and the other bishops fought to seal him so he couldn't do anything quite literally on the other side so technically she betrayed him in a way

@midnights2631 I didn't know that until now they never clarified it in the game to my knowledge, and they refer to them as their sister, so I assumed the Wiki also says that they might be nonbinary it seems unconfirmed

@Gacha_Got_Arsorned we don't know if that happened but from what we cam pick up is that Narinder hurt then so bad that their wounds still aren't completely healed (maybe they can't even be completely healed)
Actually the bishops follower quest all really follow the the Dialog of "in the battle against narinder he damaged my eyes/throat/ears/skull but there's an interesting detail where three of them recognize there damaged organ but not Shamura. It's quite depressing.
@@ichibon1674From what I can tell, Shamura essentially got brain damage. The only thing keeping them lucid was their crown. It's honestly a wonder how they survive in the camp

Correction, she can speak. You see her talk several times before you beat her, and she talks a bit after you recruit her in the post game. It's just that their wounds reflect the no evil things.

So what I’ve gathered from the lore I’ve seen is that Narinder, the previous god of death before the lamb, tried to stray outside his domain and lashed out at his siblings who locked him away. Of course that isn’t the whole lore especially when you consider each of the bishops are gods of misfortune, disease, dissent, madness and famine. That said I can’t imagine they were happy to have to lock away their brother but eventually over the years convinced themselves that they were to cope with the loss of a loved one. In the stories of polytheistic religions gods with brothers and sisters or lovers of mortal origins eventually go mad because of their emotions. They are tired of their domain, someone wronged them, or they have been hurt so they lash out and hurt those that would otherwise have supported them.
