    There are tips you can do to cut costs. I don't stay at a resort, I don't eat at the parks, I don't buy suneniors, etc. .. I went in 1981 and it was $13. We stay at Comfort Inn and they have a lot included and not that much money.

    Wow. $38? Can you imagine how that would change the cost of a trip for a family (I have 5 kids). Good video, hope you make more.

    It is too expensive especially if you think about how much money you spend to basically stand in lines all day. That's what ruined it for me. It would be one thing to spend the enormous amount of money to go there and have short lines and a pleasant experience. Last time my family went to Disneyland it was a horrible experience. Lines averaged 1-2 hours. That means to go on six rides it took 6-10 hours waiting in line. Imagine spending $400+ to go and stand in lines all day. That's insanity.

      I looked up their website last year: $400+ for a measly 3 days for ONE person. Ridiculous. I cancelled everything and called Universal's reservations desk. LOL.

    I have a friend who is a Disney fan. She complained about how expensive Disney world parks have become for an average middle class family (not staying in the resorts) Especially when you factor in tickets, food, souvenirs, Parking.

    • @davidlewis5189
      @davidlewis5189 4 года назад

      With Souvenirs you just need to create a budget, and stick to it. Parking, you can do without...

      The Parkhop so we get about half off of the 5 day hopper (once a year) We usually stay at Shades of Green pricing is based on your rank. It’s a great value for military families

    In the past, I've used my tax return for vacations. Including Disney. Bet a lot of people do that.

      Problem is withholding is smaller now, and trip is more expensive. I wonder if that has affected attendance this year at all.

    Place is beyond a ripoff. Imagine selling off your possessions in a garage sale to afford a 4 day trip to disney?

    • @andersonplatte77
      @andersonplatte77 4 года назад

      Usually whatever you sell at a garage sale isn't stuff you want in your house anyway.

      I'd rather spend my money on a trip elsewhere. Disney is NOT worth it.

    Factor in $200 a day to feed a Family of Four at a Disney Resort!!!!!....What type of food are they selling??...Do they buy from Whole Foods??....I remember a Season Pass for 6 Flags Magic Mountain Was $45-60 just 20yrs ago....

    Very well done video, I know a lot of time and research went into making it. One thing I would like to see factored into the vid, is a third comparison time period, post take-over period. We almost lost Disney because it was so very undervalued. Wall Street saw a billion dollar new park (Epcot) with insanely cheap admission charge. You would pay nearly as much getting into a 6 Flags park, that was worth a few million. Parking at Disney was 50 cents at the time and 6 Flags was more, with a couple of hundred feet of roadway vs miles at WDW. You know as a result of the take over attempt, we were saved by the bass brothers and Michael Eisner and Frank Wells came aboard to rectify many of the issues that were going on. So it would be kind of interesting to see how the expense stacks up to a couple of years (giving them time to rectify pricing) into the Eisner/Wells leadership.

    cost keeps getting higher, quality is getting worse. Disney also is containing to destroy great classic rides. We lost, 20,000 leagues, Mr Toad, Cinderella scary adventure, and now splash Mt is getting yanked. The part has lost its charm

    "Is it TOO expensive?" I find this question overused. OF COURSE it is. There are so many videos on this subject. Let's break it down easily: I'll cheat by adjusting the price on my ticket from 1991 for inflation to today's worthless dollar. 3 days WITH hopper in 1991 is $218 at today's rate of inflation. Today, 3 days with hopper is $413!! End of discussion!
