More than a year later- thoughts on New England? I'm from the north east myself, so I really loved the feel/flavor of it. A bunch of the species I've also hunted irl, so it was super fun for me! It's not as open as many others, so I know it gets a little negative feedback, which I can also understand.
Oh lucky. I want to move to the East / Northeast myself. I love the beauty of the landscape over there. So I really do like the look of the reserve. But unfortunately I haven't played there as much as some other reserves. It is a bit harder as well, but honestly I enjoy that myself. I like Hirschfelden and that gets a bum rap too. I enjoy challenging myself so sometimes I intentionally make hunts more difficult like trying to set a session up for as realistic as I can make it. I think the reason I haven't played it as much is because of time and life decisions. So many games, with so many options and not a lot of time to play them. So I pick and choose what I can. All that to say, I enjoy it!
@@3Messenger7 Well said! I enjoy the challenge as well and once you get to know the map, finding spots to hunt is pretty easy. It's not an easy map to grind, so I think that's why it's not so popular. Thanks for your input! I'm kinda biased, so I like to hear what others have to say about.
Thanks. Yeah, every map has hot spots that are fun to hunt. Depending on my mood I do stationary hunts on occasion. But I like to roam more than anything. I like diversity and seeing new things. That's probably why I can't stand the concept of grinding. Honestly, that's more about the trophy and bragging rights than anything. It's about showing off how good you are compared to everyone else. That's a personal ego issue to make yourself look and feel better about yourself. Personally I don't need that. Plus, if I ever do find those rare special trophies, honestly how much more impressive are they to get and share than ones you've slaughtered thousands of animals to get. It'll make it so much more enjoyable when it happens naturally. So yeah, it may not be a good grinding map, but that's ok with me.
It looks like you get it free when you buy the reserve. But I think in the past new reserve weapons had to be purchased with in game currency. I guess we'll see on release.
