RF Power Splitter - How does it work?

- So I have a series of videos detailing the performance of USB Software Defined Radios and how they perform against each other. I received some comments and some emails basically saying the same thing - your testing is flawed. So I looked into it, and sure enough my testing was flawed. So I added a new item to the hamfest shopping list, an RF splitter suitable to the task at hand. I went looking for one in the retail market and at $100 minimum I wasn't going to do that. Sure enough the local hamfest had a vendor selling them for $10. You better believe I snapped up a couple of different models. This is the takeaway from getting such a device.

I always love tear down vids! Im an explorer of things.
Thanks Steve, I'm a curious cat also and I love to dig into stuff and figure out how it works. Sometimes I confuse myself more but that is all part of the journey.
Always instructive and mesmerizing, you definitely know your craft 👏👏👏
Gracias viejita ;)
Wikipedia is the source of all knowledge! This is a really interesting topic. 73!
Oh this gets worse. There is a rabbit hole here I was not expecting. Thanks Lionel!
Do Power Splitters fail?
One may think that since P.S. don't have any active components therefore they wouldn't fail.
Like most passive components, they can fail if abused.
