Same as you with the frozen part and i am a gay man who was molested by a doctor at 10 years old! It robbed me of my self esteem, unable to have a relationship, major alcohol problem , depression , anxiety, unable to make a decision, always on my guard! I tried to heal but could not !

Please don’t give up. Forgiveness is key. Forgive the messed up perpetrator and forgive yourself. Everyone is born with fallen nature. We can be born again to newness of life through faith in Jesus Christ. He conquered all evil and is returning to set in motion a new world under his loving guidance. Pray and let his love heal all the wounds and pain. ❤

Psychological damage can be long lasting. I was in a cult as a teenager and young adult and left in 1974 and it still affects me to this day at age 71. In surprising ways. You loose a sense of self confidence that almost never totally comes back to you.

True actors and true comédiens they don’t lie, they are the opposite, brutally authentic and honest. Of course there are so many narcissist everywhere that u can’t tell anymore who’s authentic and not but acting is connection to the truth of being deeply humain (that’s why the vilains are played so well by great actors) so being great as a humain can be and being fully vulnerable as we we must be if we want to be authentic, even if you’re not a actor or you’re not acting.
It’s the paradoxe of acting. It a try to reproduce life in all its deeps and layers.

Good for her, for getting help. It will always be a work in progress just like complex trauma is for the thousands of people who suffer from it and are aware they do.
