I daily drive mine, it's got the 1.6L 16V swap now and that to me is one of the biggest upgrades, it's still light but has better horse power. Mine will go just about anywhere on 35's.
Looking for my first wheeler/hunting rig. Decided on a Samurai. Been watching videos for a couple hours and came across yours. Well done sir, well done. All of the needed information and no fluff. My only critique would be the lack of your Sammy in action. In any case great job on the video and very informative!
@@Drewsoffroadgarage there are versions not available in the USA, the long wheelbase version, and a taller tin top with windows along the top, like a Vista cruiser.
I don’t have the Samurai, but I have the Gen4 Jimny. In the past I’ve had 2 Gen3. The Gen4 I have now will be the last car I have. I love it to bits! - With the double diff-lockers I’ve added to it it’s a beast off-road!
Hello from England 🏴 ,These little Suzuki samurai’s are by far the best 4x4’s ever created, just watch them destroy the opposition in the Malaysia rainforest challenge , I have 3 👍👍👍😁
Hello, a warm greeting fro the province of Pontassieve in Florence, Italy. I am the respected owner of a Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 with a m13a 1.3 LT petrol engine, petrol, completely original, year 2001. In fact, it is completely original, which I often drive on country and forest roads, and with the appropriate mud tires it will do well too. The Suzuki Jimmy 4x4, although completely original, I see it in its natural habitat when I approach country agricultural and forest roads that are used by logging companies to transport wood in logging trucks.
I enjoyed my samurai when it was bone stock. It surprised me with the stuff that it was able to do. Now with all the modifications I've done to it is much more capable and way too easy for some obstacles. 16V swap with power steering makes it almost modern..
@@Drewsoffroadgarage make sure you find a complete donor. I went through many obstacles just to piece mine together. I also seen that the 2.0 vitaras are the next option to go with.
They were not all 4wd

Yeah the stock 1.3 is on the struggle bus. A motor swap is on the list for sure
There were some 2wd samurais just not many
Imagine that 😂

Thank you! I agree with you I need to take it wheeling more!
Killer video man. Exactly what I was looking for. No extra bs or vague comments.
I have 3, Tin top, soft top, and a exocaged truggy.
The trifecta!

Yes! I agree these things rock!
I wish Suzuki would return to the US market. Heeps have become bloated mall crawlers.
Hi there, thanks for your reply 👍, I’ve got 6 now 😁😁😁, nothing beats them, I’ve tried everything trust me 👍👍👍🇬🇧
I'm 6'4" and daily drive my SJ80 coily I imported from the Cayman Islands.
Props! I got a JB23 on 29” 2 weeks ago. Can’t wait to lock it. What lockers do you have? Stock axle shafts?
Awesome! I have a Detroit in the rear and it’s welded in the front and yes I’m on stock axle shafts
@@Drewsoffroadgarage
I couldn't imagine driving with a welded front. What I have my front ARB switched on , it's almost impossible to turn.
@@russgould707 it’s not too bad with power steering set up I have

@@oczuk32 Good to know. I’ve seen those but I don’t know much about them yet
They weren't all 4WD they sold some that were 2WD but not many as they are rare....
