The old version was definitely good, though compared to it, this new one feels way more full of emotion both in the angry part and in the "good" one. Overall a 10/10❤

And get this too, in the Serbian dub of Mermaid Melody, the woman who provides Sara's speaking voice also did Izuru, Meru, Mimi, Aqua Regina and Alala.And they also gave Sara two image songs to sing too. And in the Hebrew dub, she shares her voice actress with Lanhua. And in the French dub, the woman who did her singing voice also did the singing voice for Lady Bat.
I really love and adore the contrast in the first and last part, because the first part is in a higher key but the higher note also sounds like heartbreak with a bite of anger and on the egde of crying kind of high, whereas the last part its a bit lower but more powerfull, asurering and warm. I love both the old version and this one because compined they tell a story. 1. The old version tells a story being dead on the inside and having giving up, in the way its kind of like in a same key the whole way. 2. This version gives the vision of heartbreak, but findind the light and love again.
I find the first version's first part more bitter and cold honestly. It feels more close to original as the way Kana Ueda sang was very resentful and emotionless(at least in the cd version, in the 35 episode Sara seemed "sweetened" or if something slightly anxious as she was saving Taro). For the second part of the song I prefer the new version all the way. In the first version it seemed way too plane and boring, while the new version transmits more hope and calmness
Absolutely phenomenal, it's an odd feeling to wake up, hear this and start your day all emotional, beautiful work, so i don't know if it's been asked before, will Mermaid Melody Pure get the A.I. upscale treatment like season 1 ?
It will - just gotta finish the subtitles for the first 14 episodes since softsubs don't exist. Kinda got off track during December when I was remastering everything... They're coming, though!
I love this far better than the original as well as for using the music from the anime maybe one day you would sing this song in Japanese because I would very much love to hear you sing all of the mermaid melody songs in its original lyrics
