The Test option in the new version will be the diskpart button (basically the test button tried to repair the device to determine whether or not it will be able to) So I've replaced the test button with the actual repair button and added a chkdisk option and factory software lookup function.
Additional Tips:
1.) when the windows cannot detect your usb device:
typical (driver related fix) is to go to device manager, and locate your usb device. then you need to right click and select uninstall (to uninstall the default driver) restart pc and try again.. windows will automatically reload the drivers.
2.) Samsung Kies software causes usb devices to become un-detectable..
Uninstall everything (Samsung or android related if needed)
and if still no luck for advanced users only (on own risk)..
You need to go into regedit and delete all samsung folders. Windows uninstall does not remove them completely.
Hit Ctrl+R or Start, click run and type in
regedit
On the left side, you will see 5 folders
Open (+)
HKEY LOCAL USER
expand(+)
Software
Go down to anything that says Samsung, right click and delete folder.
Do the same for
HKEY LOCAL MACHINE
and
HKEY USER
Look in every software folder to see if there is anything Samsung
Delete everything Samsung
Select your pen drive or flash drive from the list provided. Make sure the correct device is selected for repair. press the repair device button.
Optional: the flashboot website address to get additional drivers for some devices. flashboot.ru/if...

Windows detects the flash drive, but properties show 0 bytes size. Disk Repair tool also detects the drive, but as soon as the drive is selected, error MS-104 is thrown: "Device could not be loaded. Please Refresh The Device List And Try Again". After the list is refreshed and drive is selected, same error occurs.

I have a 32GB Sandisk flash drive. Brand new. Used once in the tvy, then stopped working when attached to my computer.
Windows picks it up in Device manager, but it is greyed out in This PC. It shows 0 bytes in properties. I cannot format it, or access it, and clicking on it, Windows says the device does not exist. Same in command prompt. Running Windows 10.

RAMANA N.V If your PC can detect the drive when you insert it, (and you receive the message that the disk is write protected) it means that your disk drive has encountered a software related error. to fix this you need to download the malvastyle disk repair tool at malvastyle.com. part of the process that the tool does is to check for software related errors like the one you are referring to, and then resolve them. please note. the tool will fix your flash drive, but all data that was on it will be lost as it needs to format the drive as part of the repair process..

Thank you Clayton! You will be able to retrieve your data after.. but you will need to have a data recovery tool to do that. I don't have one, but there's tons of free ones on Google.

OK guys, I'm making the application free of charge until we release the new version.. Please note that this license will not work on the new version, and will also expire on the old version as soon as we release the new version. In other words you are free to test and try it out until further notice.. we are working on some issues when the disk boot sector is write protected, and that won't allow us to repair it.

+Roleen Moreland Have you tried the additional steps in the description? that has worked for some people.. Also sometimes the Samsung software can interfere with detecting usb devices so try and uninstall that if you have it installed.. or remove the device driver from device manager and reboot. working on a more dynamic version of the software that will be available for you guys soon.

i downloaded the software and it detects the usb stick but there is no repair option!
Thank's to you 75 percent of the flash drıves I was able to fıx another 25 percent contains very important programs and some family thinks.Problem ıs flush's the I havent able to fıx has write protected

You can try and select the Disable write protection option, then you need to run “Test” with any flash drive inserted to apply the settings. This will set some registry settings to disable write protection on all flash drives for that computer.you need to restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

Thanks for that program, i have 2 dead usb keys, unable to format them. I downloaded this program, but after i hit refresh device, appears an error MS - 205 Both keys are 64gb, and have same issues. The program recognize ut, but nothing happens when i cick on repair button

after making bootable flash drive it stops then my flash drive won't recognize, i search for solution in google they say format it with exFAT it works but it copies 1 file only. and i want it to format again to FAT32 but it won't work pls help...

It sometimes happen.. the executable file can be located in C:\Program Files (x86)\CJ Secure (Pty) Ltd\

selected USB Only. selected the D: drive. selected TOSHIBA ... (no HDD of mine is TOSHIBA, only the flash drive) why it formatted something else??????

It sounds like access rights to the device.. Close everything, then right click and run the software as administrator.

what if i want it fixed without formatting cause i dont want to lose my stuff
This will unfortunately format the device.. The only way I can think of is to use a data recovery app afterwards.. But would suggest testing it on a different flash drive first as some data recovery apps doesn't always get everything back afterwards.

Sometimes that happens. it will then be at C:\Program Files (x86)\MalvaStyle
When I clicked on those files none of them launched the program. I was so disappointed. To where should I make a desktop icon? And thanks for the speedy supply.
It should be the disk repair file with the 'ms' logo.. (my folder has 5 files, and it's the top one with the .exe (application extention)
I got it working. BUT it is a cheap chinese USB stick of 1 Terabit capacity. LOL It reads as such in Windows. But it cant store large files. Your admirable software failed at the 99pc point of repairing.

+Aaron Fritz Ortega How did you try and format it in CMD? there's a free software download at www.cjsecure.com that has a test functionality.. you can use that in order to determine whether or not your device has suffered physical damage. please check back if it worked.. the download is a direct link, no surveys.. no bs.. hope that helps
