Im reminded of a Buddy Holly song floating through my air brain and i imagined Jesus singing it over me; " Every day its a gettin closer goin faster than a roller coaster..........every day seems a little longer every day loves a little stronger. Come what may do you ever long for trues love from me?" (Jesus that is) knowing we are living in the most exciting days true believers in Jesus Christ have ever known keeps me insanely sane. The peace of being a time traveller is knowing the time you are living in. - love to everyone; radical for Jesus crazy about His love❤🎉 🔥 🔥 🔥

What people miss when it comes to Jesus is he could have run away but he stood his ground against the Establishment in the face of death.
Most people wouldn't know the name Pontius Pilate or Emperor Tiberius, but every person on this planet has heard of Jesus.

Neil, actually there was an objection to the sign Pilate put on the cross "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews." Some of the chief priests went to him and said you have to write "HE SAID he was the King of the Jews." And Pilate said, "What I have written, I have written." So that's John 19:19-22.

    • @dmcgwhisper5945
      @dmcgwhisper5945 2 месяца назад

Yes you're right. The Jews would not pronounce the name of God. Christ said He is God. The priests were evil in many ways and they wanted to kill their accuser (Christ) and Pilate new that. He did not want an innocent man to be killed. Also, in his letter to Caesar he showed admiration for Yeshua (Christ). The Jews to this day use YHVH as the name of God and being 'blind guides' and 'blind fools', white painted sepulchres full of dead mens bones, stiff necked and hard of heart, they still kill Him.
Pilate wrote the Tetragrammaton above Yeshua. I think he believed! Take that in!
      YHVH
The Jews pleaded with Pilate to change the inscription but he refused. It said "Yeshua HaNazarei Vemelekh HaYehudim". - Yeshua the Nazarine King of the Jews.

@greatscott369 My grandfather came here to the States when he was 17 in 1916. Then he served in our Navy during the First World War. I, too, was young when he passed, but he was amazing to me. Almost superhuman in my eyes. I was blessed to have the opportunity to live in Scotland for a year. I lived with my great aunt, my grandfather's sister, and cared for her while her niece finished up at university and was then able to take over her care. To be able to have that time in his homeland and be surrounded by my extended family and people who knew him as a boy was one of the greatest gifts of my life. I've always been so proud of my Scottish blood and heritage that he instilled in me. I hope I passed that on to my sons. They certainly have the stubbornness and sense of humor that such blood should dictate.😂 May you have a beautiful and peaceful day. Or night as the case may be.

I have had many numinous and material experiences that i could share with you if it helps you to believe in what you experienced and believe in yourself your higher self, bless you. Having already met Mary and Jesus who introduced me to the Father which are great narratives in themselves i thought you might like this experience. While studying theology at Uni at Mary's request as a mature student i became acquainted with another mature student who told me about her step dad being a satanist and abusing her as a child. After spending three platonic nights with her in a single bed i dreamt i was cycling toward a crossroads of a small rural village when the vinyl stereo system perched on the handlebars (don't ask) started playing the Cosmic Symphony that i am familiar with that heralds the presence of the Father. On looking up the road ahead was blocked by the smiling face of God who said turn left. So i cycled up the road and dismounted leaning the bike against a dry stone wall and jumped over. Walking across the moor i came across a pool surrounded by Nymphs but neither was i distracted by my good looks nor their beauty i jumped in feet first despite my dread of water. I travelled along what we call in Wales a leyline and came up in her step father's living room. To my left sat two baby producing women and to my right a long black haired ruffian then noticing someone pocking their head in from the kitchen to see what was going on i walked past the goats and as i entered the kitchen he took a swipe at my left eye with his soulcatcher but i doged and turned my cheek and put it against his and invited him to try that again to see what happens to which he surrendered his soulcatcher and i left returning her soul and giving the rest (about fifteen) to Mary who reported back some time later that She had returned them all to their rightful owners. When i told her that i had got her soul back for her she didn't take me seriously until i asked her why her step dad keeps goats in the house to which she gasped 'but i never told you that' and promptly eloped to London with a new vitality to life. Hope you enjoy.

Your team did great! So contravercial but you all did it anyway. Some courage it takes to talk about Jesus Christ today. Suffering is because Satan rules the earth. Christian suffering with integrity proves Satan a gross liar. It has been proven in every generation. So one day soon God's kingdom will put Satan and his seed away forever and rule. Good news of God's kingdom! That is and has always been the message. Matthew 24:14 "And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."
The end of Satans rulership that is.😊

Those early Jewish believers (a few hundred at the most) knew that it was not a matter of a body being laid in the tomb and then miraculously coming back to life (like a modern resuscitation) to continue as before.
Everything about what happened showed them that there was more to it than that. It didn't need to wait for Paul to "spiritualise" it.
It is often people today who prefer to speak of it as a resuscitation - not the people then.

Matthew was one of Jesus' dusciples. HE KNEW Jesus first hand. Mark may not have been a Discilple but he knew Jesus as well and may have been a young relative of Simon Peter and his brother, Andrew. Luke was second generation. Not that it is important. He was brought to Christianity by Paul. He was a doctor and he went on missionary trips with Paul. He researched Jesus' life on Earth. He even interviewed Mary, the mother of Jesus. John was a Disciple of Jesus like Matthew. They were two of the 12. You are very smart. I am an American retired Kindetgarten teacher. Mostly I am a Christian. Because you are a natural teacher and researcher, I need to teach you about the facts of who wrote the Gospels- which were inspired by God. The Jews went into Assyrian and Banylonian captivity because of their disobedience to God. Christ IS the Son of God. He is God who came to Earth as a man. He died on the cross and he arose on the third day. He IS the Messiah. Research. You should. Right now you are saying preachers don't preach the greatest sermon ever- the Sermon on the Mount - is not true. Research. I hope you get to know Christ Jesus. You are now speaking about Paul. You speak like an expert but you only know a little. Research. By the way my ancestors were Highlanders... Why I am American. I respect you and your opinions. It (Creed) was drafted in order to set clear the distinctions in apostalic teaching from erroneous Gnostic invention/confusion . When you cited the Creed you were verbalising your adherence to the dogma set by the Nicean Council. The Sermon as beautiful as it is, is not a Creed.

Do we need a creed ?
The possible errors and ambiguities in the creed mirror the possible errors and ambiguities in Gnosticism.
The deleted gospels may contain a few gnostic “ambiguities” but it is now widely accepted that they contain many profound universal spiritual insights.
We should recall that at the pinnacle of spiritual wisdom in heaven, there are no dogmas or religions.

      @@lecaprice2572 "Do we need a Creed ?"
I believe we very much indeed need a Creed. Every bit as much today as was needed in the 4th century. 30,000 plus denominational churches all claiming to teach authentic Christianity as they see it - is if nothing else proof of why the Creed was nessessary. Without the Creed today God's nature could be anything to anyone Jesus Divinity challenged or completely unknown today. Christianity would be meaningless.
You believe ''lost goslels' that contain elements of truth should not not be ruled out . But with that logic, one might as well submit to the Quran as well. We would have a dogmatic mess. Should we also just run carefree with dogma also ? Whats left to believe in but a pick mix bag that has zero integrity to behold as anything to take seriously.
Fundamentally though and i do not mean this in a bitter sense. But if you doubt the Creed as it stands perhaps find a religious denomination that resonates with what you do believe .

The Half Acropolis Joke of Beirut
Good news! I've just come back from performing at the Half Acropolis Theatre in Beirut. I'll post a video of my performance for Radio Italia later:)
Yep, so the half Acropolis Joke is that they had to destroy the Colesseum to create an Ampitheatre. So I presume that one would have to build a new stadium to knock down the amphitheatre or vice versa.
You see you have to balance the Ledger in the Book of Life by making a fair account of the matter out of place;)

Enjoyed this Neil and I Enjoy you and what you have to say both historically and about the current state of affairs. I was born and raised an Irish Catholic in NYC Catholic School boy etc. I had problems with the whole institution of the religion at a young age, due the the rules, the guilt, the shame, the fear, the violence by Priests and Nuns.I thought of them as human beings, with flaws just like the rest of us. There was nothing special or magical about these people.I knew from a young age there was something not right, as Jesus would not behave this way, especially towards children. We were taught God was everywhere, So when I asked " If God is everywhere why do we need to go to Mass or Confession? Why can't we just confess and pray at bed time?' Well I still remember the beating I got. Yet they never told my Mother about why they beat me.( which I found odd) But I told her myself, as I had questions and wanted to make sure I was not going to burn in Hell. Anyhow I am still a Catholic ( not a very good one) Christmas eve midnight Mass, Easter and Wedding type guy. I have however became a Stoic about 10 years and teach Stoicism to my kids. Although I was married in a Catholic church and my kids are all baptized, I will not take religion any further with them.I will allow them to form their own views on structured religion. Just like I would never drag them along to a political rally or protest. Who am I to force my political or religious on my young children? I am there to answer questions, and turn them out as best I can into thoughtful and caring little human beings. So as long as they behave in a Stoic manner, I will be a happy Dad.

So my experience in NYC was not that bad in comparison. Don't mind Crackpot opinions, ( freedom of speech etc. and I find them funny sometimes) It's just the Unhinged Crackpot law makers/ politicians, bureaucrats, and Crackpots with weapons, Bored Crackpots with too much time on their hands, that I have concern about.

Sadly the church has been beset with terrible men and women for the past since, well' the Enlightenment more or less till today. Much infiltration has happened and people who should be nowhere near a religious order have sadly slipped through the net and in doing so have conived their way up important ladders of power ever opening the doors ever wider to the detestable .

“I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg - or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.” C. S. Lewis.
Jesus didn't come to start a religion. He came to bring man back into relationship with God. Man made a religion out of it - but the possibility to experience a spiritual relationship with God - without religion - is still offered to all.

The other, Byzantine, after recognising Christianity, turned into the Caliphate which I think is not often enough recognised.

the problems of early societies were created by powerful figures. just like today. the slaves put their destiny in the hands of their slave masters. just like today. as sin and evil spread so did the corruption found within the early societies. just like today we act like imbeciles and are enslaved to a deceptive fraudulent system of alleged democracy and legality both of which are ungodly and unlawful.
those acting presently in monarchic, parliamentary, and governmental roles have forgotten god and replaced GOD with too many false idols. following unlawful globalist policies and enforcing harmful rules and behaviours in the name of legality being law. this is wrong!! legal has NEVER been law.
where people today claim that legislation is law those people ARE NOT god fearing people and are IGNORANT of the law.

I remember when AD was defined as "After David", they changed the definition discreetly sometime in the late 70s, 80s. , of this there is no doubt. problem is he changed it badly...it is from David we get the divide and conquer routine. he monopolises the "gene" and thereafter he creates a very divided world....of family, all are family of his-her. the Local lords may love him, but the non local ones have a mo9re nuanced opinion of dear David.
