Wow! It's brilliant. It is very tough to jump from a gazal to a dance number and continue like that keeping the essence of different songs alive both vocally and instrumentally. It needs a good command on your craft and coordination. Kudos to all.

Hi Sourendro and Soumyojit, don’t know how Sameer will feel about his much celebrated father and lyricist, Anjaan jee, being omitted in this tribute.
But more than that, what really made me feel bad was omission of Yogesh. He would make into any list, however crisp it is.
Anyway, always a pleasure to watch and listen to your videos

Totally enjoyed this medley - for many different reasons. One - it reminded me yet again the richness of our popular culture, two - gave me chance to mull over the age-old tradition of poets/shaayars/lyricists having the name of a place mentioned in their pen-name, like Ludhianvi, Sultanpuri, Jaipuri, Badayuni, Bhopali.... Of course, rendition by and the additional musical flourishesof - in vocal and keyboard - by Sourendro and Soumyojit are the icing on the cake, as always. Thank you for putting this together.

Thank you so much! Brilliant as usual. Your composition is always educational. However, I would like to draw your attention to two issues. 1) The space (lyricists) is so male-dominated that we often forget rare female lyricists (Padma Sachdev, Maya Govind, Amrita Pritam, Indu Jain, etc.). 2) You named only male singers/actors at the end to make your point that we relate good compositions to heroes or singers. I understand that it is completely unintentional. It will be great if you could break the gender stereotype!
True, you said it well... Amrita Pritam and Indu Jain are remarkable lyricists and vivid writers also. So, a tribute to these female lyricists some day from S&S. May be in the Women's Day .
song is a form of meditation which is beyond the normal mentality of us and is beyond all the bindings and comparisions. It is a way to feel the inner god inside us and connect ourselves to our sub concious. So please don't divide this splendid presentation in terms of gender or religion or anything else...
