  • Thanks to Victor B., a local radio collector, I was able to acquire these, and turn them into "like new" speakers fitting for a modern office. The history of this specific pair of Videoton D93 Musical Encyclopaedias and the complete Videoton company is quite a journey. Now they are ready to take their place on a real bookshelf.
With an unobtrusive Bluetooth adapter (see my other videos) mounted on the backside, they could make your workspace an enjoyable place to spend a few hours of "work".

"it's not a duck" figuratively means that it's not fake news, not a made-up lie, etc...
Thanks for the content! I really liked!

Thanks for watching and commenting. I knew someone would have the right translation for all the rest of us who weren’t quite sure. I’m glad you enjoyed the video.

I have actually come across a set if these, that I am sure I will have to refurbish. What was the set of drivers you had chosen from PartsExpress? Would you stay with those or pick something different if you could do it over?

They are a fun project. At 12:55 in the video I describe the exact Visaton models I bought from PE. If money were no object, I'd always try to get direct replacements and keep the original design intact. Good luck. Thanks for watching and commenting.

IMO, should have kept to the original intent and just replace the drivers with modern day versions. Being so rare it should have been treated as such. But that's just me.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes I struggled with that decision a bit myself. Nothing’s really been undone that can’t be redone by the next owner. I’ll give them the crossover’s if they want to do an OEM restoration.

@@new2uspeakers I'd be interested - where on your website are they listed? I couldn't find them and I don't have access to Facebook.

@@skypuppy7724 they are not listed on my website for sale. All my items are on Facebook marketplace unfortunately. I typically don’t do shipping either. I do have them listed for $150. If that is something you’d be interested in let me know, email me through RUclips
