Wow !! You've gone above and beyond there Al, I'm absolutely buzzing and made up with the mods and work you've put into my tent, when I seen you had uploaded a vid I did a little wee 😂😂 honestly looks amazing, also great little windshield 👌👍
@@Mickoutdoors 😅Thanks Mick, yeah came out not to bad at all. I'm not too sure what it was like prior to the mods but I'm pretty sure you will give it a good going over 😉 the wind shield of Ali Ex.
the sleeves look sooo smart. love how you can just make some changes to a tent, not just deal with it's downfalls. where could i get myself some of the sleeves
Yes you're quite correct. Unfortunately my Taiji 1 didn't. I've just checked the poles against Mick's Taiji 2 and his are 9 mm and mine are 8.1 at a push. Maybe a change or a mistake but I did notice the difference as I ordered a spare set to double pole and you could see the difference. I did mention it in the making of the video but didn't put it in 🤦
@@greyhikes5236 I only got my Taiji 1 quite recently so maybe it originally had 8mm poles? Had the Taiji 2 for over two years now but both of mine are definitely 9mm because I considered trying to double pole by taking the set from the tent I wasn't using but they're different lengths (section lengths and overall lengths). Regarding upgrading to a 10mm pole do you think it would fit into the top crossover clip? The 9mm poles already feel pretty tight to me, especially on the Taiji 1 I'd be concerned they might break.
@chazphot That's a good point! I believe Grizzly Gaz uses 10 mm poles in his Taiji Two. I'm going to order a set and see if they fit. I'll pop Gaz an email and ask him if he had to change the clip. 👍
Just got a reply from Gaz and he has 11 mm poles and yes he changed the clip. He has put links in the description to this video ruclips.net/video/jAu423jPXyE/видео.html

Just answered on your other post 👍
11:50 Not sure if it was a typo when editing but the Taiji 1 and Taiji 2 use 9mm poles.

UK users are the best in the world at modifying tents.
We try 😉
